What a life saver...or a spa saver anyway
I admittedly messed up my spa: after a party, my spa water was looking fairly gross, but, luckily, I was planning on draining it anyway; so, I did, but not completely. I didn't clear the just lines and I left about an inch of water at the bottom because I ran out of time that day, and my sump wasn't pulling up anymore water after that point. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to finish that off that week, or the next...or <cringing sigh> the next. When I finally went to clean up my spa, you could smell the algae. I started to fill it up with clean water to clear out the jet lines and yellow algae starting jumping out my jets: I wanted to both kick myself and vomit (I know, I know, it was only algae, but that's not where my mind went when I saw a yellow blob shooting out of my jets). I cleaned up what I could, but I knew the only way that I was going to get the jet tubes/pipes clean was to fill the whole thing and treat it. I used a charcoal filter on my house, filled the tub, balanced it, shocked it, ran it, cleaned the algae off the sides that accumulated from the jet-caused-foam, and the tub started to look good for a moment. Then, two days later, it was cloudy and started to stink, so I added an ounce of this algaecide to my 500 gallon hot tub, and, the next day, no algae smell, no cloudy water. It has a bit of a chemical smell to it, but I can't tell if that is the algaecide or the shock treatment I used, which was the Home-Depot-Special that I grabbed since the stuff I normally get is crazy expensive/hard to find right now.

Where did the measurements go??
Works great, but where are the handy 2 oz lines on the side of the bottle?? Without these you have to dedicate something to measuring out the amount that you want to add to the pool. It was much easier when you could just eyeball it with the lines on the side of the bottle. Bring back the measuring lines!

Great product
This worked great when I started developing green algae. I applied it and after about an hour I brushed the floor and walls on my gunite pool. The next day I started noticing a difference. You will have to still pull your filter and clean it as well. It didn't turn my blonde girls hair green like people say it can, and it didn't leave rust spots. It will drop your chlorine level though.

It works!
The picture speaks for itself. Easy to follow directions. I used the suggested amount for when allege is already present. Once it cleared, I follow up with weekly treatment to maintain it. Good stuff!

Works great!
It is so much better than the less expensive varieties. Doesn't foam and actually kills the algae. I've tried other brands and had nothing but trouble with my pool water and lots of foaming. I won't use anything else.
