Excellent product and really effective!
This is one of the best purchases I have done in a long while. It is a fairly thin silicon strip, yet it is highly effective and it blends in with your doors and windows, so you don't notice it. I cleaned the area where the seal was applied with some rubbing alcohol first and it sticks on very well. I have placed the tape around my patio doors, as there were some serious drafts coming from the outside, but the tape sealed them perfectly. I also noticed that the room is heating up a lot quicker now and holds the temperature much better. The tape also sealed a sizeable gap on the bathroom window, and the kitchen is also much warmer after applying the seal around the back door. All in all very effective and hopefully will save some money on the heating bill!

Disappointing
Easy to apply but does NOT STICK. I put this around the frame of a half door going into the attic to try and reduce draughts but had fallen off after an hour. My husband then applied it as he thought I must have put it on wrong but it fell off on him too. Not fit for purpose 😕

Good for gaps that vary in size along the length HOWEVER...
This is a reasonable product that works well at sealing in gaps around door where you have a gap that changes in width along it's length. Previously I have used the foam seal but had varying success and invariably after a year they would fall off. Now the seal does not fold in half like the plastic versions available but due to being silicon they stay flexible. One side of the tape has a score line, the other a raised bar, the side with the score line weakens that side and allows the seal to fold back when the door is shut whilst the side with the bar provides the tension to hold the seal in place. Unfortunately the glue used on these is rather pathetic and I doubt it is 3M like advertised. I put my first strip on the wrong part of the door and had no problem removing the seal from the painted trim and putting it in the correct position. Luckily I have some strong double sided tape which does hold the seal in place. The issue with the glue is not a one off either as I bought 3 rolls and all had the same issue. My final gripe is that I returned to purchase a few more rolls two days after my first order and the item value has increased by 50%. Looking on camelcamelcamel this product fluctuates in price like a yo-yo, and I suspect the business selling this product through Amazon is manipulating their prices on an hourly/daily basis to maximise profits so keep an eye out. I bought the 8M*25mm strip for £5.99 on 21 Jan, today on the 25 Jan the same item is £8.99.

Great product
Have been thinking of plugging a few draft areas on couple of windows and front door past few years. Read reviews of this product and went ahead. Should have got it few years ago. Pleased to say it was original 3M make. Very sticky adhesive and so far nicely stuck on window and door- 2 weeks into it. Cleaned surface with daughter’s nail polish remover before drying and applying it. Few reviews said poor adhesive but no such issues noted by me. Expected PVC surface to be fine but door is painted and still good on it. Peace of mind now that heating is not getting lost and would expect energy cost savings. Recommend.
