Works great
Works pretty good, suction cups comes off every once in a while and the water temp drops if it’s cold in the house. Other than that works great

Reliable
It keeps good temperature. I've had it a while now & it's still keeping good temperature. My little fin tailed friend is happy. He has his leaf plant for resting & sleeping, (Bettas do sleep & need a resting leaf) his house that he loves to hide in, plenty of room to swim and play, his filter to keep him clean, & his heater to keep him cozy. If I have his tank light on at night I have to turn on my table lamp also, otherwise he fans out his fins in defense mode because his light alone will cause him to see his reflection & he thinks it's another fish, LOL. Can't have him stressing. I do turn it off before bed so he can sleep. I don't want to him stress, I want him to live a long, happy, healthy life So I made sure he had a home fit for a king betta.

Terrible, don't waste your money
Long story short - Bought mine March 26th. Hasn't even been 3 months and it no longer works. Past the return date and I'm going to invest in another heater.Long story - Received the heater and it worked within the first 2 weeks. A month later, I felt the water was rather cold than the 79 degrees I set it at so I checked the temperature and my thermometer measured it at 71 degrees, an 8 degree differential. Terrible sensor, but at that point, I thought, hey, at least it heats. I bumped it up to 86 (which should be 78) and let it do its thing. Another 6 weeks later, I was vacuuming the gravel and as soon as I put my hand in, was shocked how cold it was. The heater was at 87, it read 86, and my wife and I felt the unit and it was not cold at all. $20 down the drain.

Loved it - while it was working. Excellent CS.
Reading all the other reviews, I decided to risk it and purchase this heater. There was so many things I liked about it: the size, the construction, ease of use, accurate temperature. When it died a month into using it, I was quite sad, but the excellent customer service responded promptly and offered a replacement or a refund with no hassle at all. The thermostat was reading high, preventing the heater from coming on and dropping water temps to ambient for a few days before I noticed it. I live in a moderate climate so my Betta did just fine, but if you live in a colder climate and this will be mission critical keep that in mind.

Great little heater
This heater is unlike any I’ve had before. I like it a lot and hope they expand the concept. I’m a fan.First, it is sure and steady and cool to direct touch at all times. I wasn’t sure if it was working at first either. Love that, actually. Maybe seven or nine hours to go from 71 to 79 in five gallons. No temperature blitz and so far never less than 78 before engaging again on a 79 set. I have not seen it at 80 or higher once. Next, it’s a cylinder of extruded quartz glass instead of the ‘standard’ transparent glass tube with white quartz sand to diffuse heat from a coil; it isn’t white (as pics suggest), rather translucent/refractive and blending in with the wall of the tank very, very nicely overall. Last, display reverts to current/actual water temp after setting to desired temperature and confirmation. Those are the three things not mentioned, and worthy of mention, in description I hope are helpful to others.

Peace of Mind
I purchased the PULACO 25W mini aquarium heater a few weeks ago. As a new proud owner of an adorable, personality plus, female Betta fish I wanted to be absolutely sure the equipment I purchased for her 5 gallon tank was 100% safe before exposing her to it. I placed the PULACO heater in an empty 5 gallon aquarium for 3 weeks just ensure the safety and accuracy of the heating unit. On the first day it took 6 hours to get the tank from 69 degrees to the 78 degrees preset temperature I selected. After that the temperature maintains between 78 and 80 degrees never defaulting past those parameters. I’ve put my finger tip in the water to test for shock and found none. I touched the submerged heater to be absolutely sure it was not hot to the touch encase my curious female would brush by it. No issues there. The only thing I would critique is that the suction cups that secure the heating unit do sometimes disengage.

Stopped working - temp read off
This heater was great for 2 months, then stopped working. Also, the temp display was 10 degrees off at the end.

Holding the temp nicely in my betta tank!
I bought this to replace an old heater that was staying on all the time and getting too hot. So far, so good with this one, it holds the temp around 81 degrees for my 3.5 gallon betta tank. I have it set at 82 or 83, so you might have to set it a degree or two higher than the desired temp but it has been steady all through the winter and now into the summer. I just bought a second one to replace another of my older heaters that is getting too hot. Thank you to the maker of these! So far so good!

lasted a month
It made the water about 4 degrees warmer than indicated on a separate thermometer, so I just adjusted the setting to get what I wanted. Then after about a month it pretty much stopped working altogether, and wasn't able to maintain the temperature. Into the bin. The vendor provided a full refund.
