Best Kid's Chapter Book
This series is so brilliant. I found it so difficult to try to get our son into reading. I believe this was the first chapter book he really enjoyed. At the time, only the first book was released and we waited patiently on the rest. From the introduction of the first book, the tone was different. Marty, the kid trying to play his favorite videogame, immediately resonated. My son realized that the two worlds were not mutually exclusive. There are puzzles and games embedded throughout each book. Our son loved going back through to make sure he solved each one. The stories are exciting and entertaining without being ridiculous or over the top silly. When my son started reading the first book, he was younger (about 6), so I read the first one to him as he followed along. I really enjoyed reading these books. The author's writing is so creative. I am really grateful that this series spurred an interest in reading for our son that has continued and cannot say enough positive things.

Some jokes not appropriate.
If you want your kids talking about butt, underwear, and fart jokes go for it. We had to have a talk about appropriate jokes and language after reading. Why do authors think this is ok? Just because kids this age giggle at that does not mean it is appropriate!

A fun action story for middle-grade readers!
Awesome Dog 5000 vs. The Kitty-Cat Cyber Squad is the third book in the Awesome Dog 5000 series. This is a really fun book for a middle-grade reader! It’s full of adventure and lots of situations that will make readers laugh! This is a graphic novel, so it has a mixture of text and illustrations to help tell the story. The illustrations are great, and are, truly, a lot of fun! This is a story of super heroes and super villains. This one has Tina Tinkerwith, an Awesome Dog 5000 fan, taking things a bit too far and becoming a villain! I really enjoyed the cats versus dogs storyline, and I know it’s one that kiddos are going to enjoy as well! This story was full of action and adventure. It’s perfect for readers that want to step away from everyday life and into a futuristic world of fun and silliness!I was provided a gifted copy of this book for free. I am leaving my review voluntarily.
