I love this item and it works great but needs a dish below as my six budgies are messy and drip a lot of water. The dish below catches the drippings and that seems to solve the problem. It doesn't drip by itself. Just when they attach it for water. They took about 4 hours to become accustom to it. One Budgie might take longer. But several will follow a leader and do as they do. It lasts for 4 days with a few drops of vinegar. I clean it every 4 days and that seems to be about fine for my flock with 16 oz.

My Macaw actually uses it but still spills water and drips on its own. So I would like something like this but with less issues as Water still escapes on the floor without bird drinking from it and when bird drinks from it and have to refill to often. Also it’s a little tricky to refill since it seems like it’s meant for a smaller cage and not one size fits all...In the mean time I will be using it till can find alternate solution

It's good. Your birds might not understand it right away tho. You'll have to teach them how to use it. My greencheek caught on right away, my Jenday however wont even go in the vicinity of it. It kinda just depends on the bird. I havent had any issues with it leaking, my greencheek just likes to pull and hold the lever to watch water spill all over his cage and make massive messes lol. Typical green cheek tho

My bird learned to use it quickly. It’s great . It need to be filled infrequently. It’s possible to forget about it. Just make sure you keep an eye on the level. I don’t have to touch it for several weeks.

UPDATE # 2 I am excited to learn a replacement is on its way to me! I am VERY HAPPY with the customer service from this company. I am changing from 1 stat to 3 - The customer service deserves a 5 Star! but I really need my product to work. If it does, I will be buying two more of these. I have THREE bird cages for my spoiled bird! I will update as soon as I am able to use and review the replacement.UPDATE : the seller has reached out to me and is willing to send me a new one!!! I hope it will work!!I will let you know!!! I am happy they are willing to work with me!!!If it had not leaked, it would have been easy and convenient to freshen my Grays water each day. But unfortunately, it would drain before 1/2 a day. Soaking her cage liner.

If I could give zero stars I would!Item arrived and when I put it to use I immediately noticed leakage. I tried to use a sealant that I had on hand and nothing worked. Not worth the money. Best to get one from your local pet store.EDIT TO ADD : Seller reached out and was courteous enough to refund me. Seller advised they would send me another water dispenser but I denied as I already purchased one from my local pet store.I’m appreciate the customer service and transparency. Thank you!

This product leaks. I tried to get a return, and they sent the replacement part, but it was the wrong size. I ordered two smalls and one medium in the initial order. When I tried to return, it would not let me separate the medium from the rest of the order to return it, so I returned the whole thing, but the replacement came in as three smalls, so I never got the medium. That was actually the problem. Also hard to keep tight on cage.

Installed this in a pigeon cage... he can't figure it out. Tried it with a cockatiel and same thing. Nice sturdy waterer and holds lots of water but can't have the birds dying of thirst. Had to go back to something they can work with.

If you have birds you know that they love the bathe in the water bowl this actually is a life saver and ur birds will love you for it

Came with no nuts .. so basically cannot do anything with it!!!!Well ... regardless. It is broken anyway!!!!! And straight out of the box leaking.It came without a box though! Or directions, or screws or nuts!

This product appears sturdy and is large. I used it for my African Grey Parrot. He was able to destroy the rubber seal at the spout end in one day so I had a lot of water on my hardwood floors If I could find another rubber seal I could try it with my other bird who is not so destructive in the meantime it sits unusable on my counter
