Solved all my problems
I use an Octatrack MK2 going through an EHX Platform stomp box (stereo compressor) which outputs 300 Ω thus very low volume when connected to my audiotechnica m50x headphones (32 Ω). Thank to this device I was able to get a prober volume boost. The unit boosts the volume very transparently, it does not saturate or color the signal.Build material is plastic but feel very sturdy. Potentiometers seem to be high quality and they’re not wobbly at all.The “mono/stereo” switch is a nice addition and is a great help to preview mono signal when mixing.I was considering a couple of other amplifiers (which were a bit more expensive) but I chose this just because it has 1/4”/xlr combo input (others had trs mini jack input) but eventually I’m very glad I decided to go with this. It solved all my problems!Would definitely buy again if this one got broken.

Impressive
Had this amp for around a week and, at the moment, it absolutely punches above it's weight both in design and sound quality (particularly as I paid £23.99 which is a bargain IMO). I was initially looking for something to provide a simple portable headphone amp solution for audio output on a projector but honestly that wastes it's capabilities. It has a rechargeable battery with a quoted 12 hour life - had mine going for at least 4 hours and it showed no signs of flagging. I'm now using it with a Topping E30 DAC and a plethora of different headphones (including Sennheiser HD598, AKG Y50) and it is amazing: Great sound stage, tonally very even thoughout the frequency range, can drive a variety of different impedence HP's to sensible volumes, and no hiss or hum. It has both XLR and1/4" input options (it's designed for use as a musician's stage monitor) and although very lightweight seems decently put together. To me this is a hi-fi quality component at a budget price. Will try to comment later on on long-term reliability but for now it's great.

Looks cheap but works fine
Works fine, just feels flimsy and looks cheap.

Shows the others how to do it
This is a great product and shows the competition how it should be done. Simple, thoughtful additions such as the mic stand mount, the 'mix' facility for input 1 and 2, rechargeable, 12hr battery life and the 2-headphone outputs - what's not to like? Amplification is great too - no worries there. OK, so the case is plastic and is probably not going to survive being stood on too many times, but the saving on a bomb-proof case is more than made up for in an accessible price and great facilities. Absolutely 10/10 here from an audio professional.

Singer was able to control mix between backing track and their voice
Configured my mixer to send singer's voice into channel 1 and the backing track into channel 2. Was able to setup the EM2 to work in such a way that the singer gets a mono mix and is able to control how much of their own voice (if any) they want to hear in addition to the backing track. Really handy.

Great product and great value
Nothing to dislike, it would be nice if the box was made of metal as the plastic looks and feels cheap but I understand it’s for cost
