Update: The seller shipped another unit and this time it was fine. Well, at least the drawers were fine. There was a knick on the top (stain was over knick so it occurred before it left manufacturing). I re-used the main structure of the first one they shipped and the drawers of the second. At the end of the day I’m happy, but this was a hassle all the same. The seller asked that I donate the original to a charity. Hopefully someone will rebuild the drawer boxes and make use of it.***************So, I actually love this set. I own several pieces and I think they are really good. I wanted to add the 5-drawer chest to my setup.I received the item today. Every single drawer is damaged. The screws that attach the drawer slides to the drawers have split the wood on every single drawer (some both sides). So I received 5 out of 5 drawers damaged in the manufacturing process. These were certainly not damaged in shipping. Either the wood they are getting supplied splits too easily or the method of putting the screw in needs to be changed.I just contacted the seller via email through Amazon. I'm hoping we can intervene with the manufacturer and get this resolved. I'll update when we do. I'm guessing these are drop shipped so maybe the seller can communicate directly with the manufacturer.

I ordered 2 og these. The nightstand looks great, however one of them wobbles. Not happy to have to retuen it - getting it back in the box will not be easy.. plus having to wait for UPS to pick up will be an inconvenience. This should have been noticed before it was shipped out.Update: Received replacement for damaged nightstand. The handle on this one is very different than the one I already have. Not very happy.Update #2: Received 2nd replacement. I simply switched out the handle on this so I can't comment on the quality of the nightstand they sent.Finally have a matching set of nightstands. They look very nice, sturdy. Only wish it hadn't been such a difficult process. I had also ordered the matching Queen storage platform bed. That arrived in 4 boxes, all of which had some damage to them. There was some minor damage to the furniture and of course it also had missing parts, which meant I couldn't put the bed together when it arrived. I am still in the process of trying to get replacement parts, so needless to say, my mattress is currently on the floor. Getting this furniture has been really problematic.So if your looking at this item (the nightstand) to go with the bed, I would recommend passing on it. It isn't worth the hassle.

I bought a bed from the same line as this nightstand. The bed has a more red color tone, but the nightstand looks great although is more of a expresso color. I thought was going to be better match since it is from the same collection than the bed i bought. Regardless, the quality is excellent and I can't take no star off since it is described as being Expresso in color. I am going to get another nightstand and the dresser.11/29/2016: I bought a second one since the last one looks so good. Unfortunately, this one come with broken parts. See attached picture. will try to fix it since returning it will be a hassle. However, I still stand that this is a beautiful nightstand.

I've owned the Nevis Queen for about 2 years now, and it's still holding strong.Solid construction, a nice finish and sleek look make this a 4-star bed. It never creaks or cracks when I toss and turn on it, and giving it a good shake won't cause it to fall apart. The polished aluminum accents give it a slightly modern feel, and it doesn't take up a whole lot of room space, which I like.I do have a couple of gripes about the bed, however. Installation was not the easiest. As another reviewer mentioned, the L brackets used to attach the frame do not make it easy to line up and it would be much easier with two people. Just an annoyance. The slats are not of the best quality, and some were a little warped and longer than others. It took a decent amount of shuffling and wedging to get them in just right.The biggest thing is the center supports. Just as yet another reviewer pointed out, they don't touch the ground. Not even close. I had to get under there and unscrew them to the point where they're almost falling out for them to graze carpet. I bought some rubber feet to stick under them just so they'd be resting on something. It's like they either measured incorrectly and just went with it, or eyeballed the center legs. Not good, but some rubber feet did the trick.Overall it's a nice bed, and for the people wondering how to match furniture with this, there are matching nightstands and chests. I do own the nightstand and it matches beautifully. I can't speak to other brands, but I like the matching aesthetic of the set.

I thought I'd already reviewed this, as I have purchased two of them, having had to return one because it arrived broken. This is finished poorly, with so much wood grain exposed that it is nearly impossible to keep any plane surface free of dust. Normal household dust fills the dips in the grain, and the top has to be washed, rather than dusted, to clean it. In just a day or two the dust will collect and show the wood's growth rings. Also, the drawers don't stay closed. And Amazon is not ready to be your furniture dealer, as this was supposed to be in stock and ship in 1-2 days, but both orders took several weeks to leave the warehouse and another week to arrive. Note that this 185 pound dresser will only be dropped at your front door. You will have to remove it from the pallet, dispose of a large quantity of packing material including planks of wood, and carry it into your home by yourself. The drawers are not removable, which would lighten the load.
