As good as the factory BenQ bulb
Bought this for a BenQ W1070 and it works great. it was easy to install and I can not tell the difference in image quality or brightness from the original factory bulb. I use the projector every day and have not had any problems. You don't need to buy the whole housing for the projector, just buy the bulb. Get a screwdriver and remove a few screws and you can install it yourself.Make sure you have a vacuum cleaner on hand, sometimes when the old bulb blows, it can break the bulb resulting in pieces of glass rattling around the projector. Use the vacuum cleaner to suck up the glass pieces and you age good to go.

No longer a good replacement bulb for BenQ W1070
I bought this exact same item twice, once in July 2016 and again in Oct 2017.I left a good review on the first bulb, it appeared identical to the original and lasted a long time. After over a year this bulb blew out and since I had such a good experience last time I ordered the same item again. However this time I received a different product, obviously a cheaper knockoff copy. I checked reviews and should have listened to everyone who said to return it immediately, but I wanted to watch a movie so I stuck it in and it worked. Now 60 days later this bulb has died and I'm ordering a brand new bulb from another company. These bulb's are a now crap, buy elsewhere.Original review: Bought based on reviews on other bulbs from this seller. Product matched original bulb I was replacing in my BenQ W1070. Was able to swap it out without too much hassle using a YouTube guide. Have about 10 hours on it so far with no problems and good brightness.

A bulb that works
So far so good. My original bulb finally blew after 6400 hours on my benq w1070 projector. I purchased this bulb and have around 500 hours so far. I cannot tell any quality differences in picture . seems to be just as bright as my factory bulb when new the only reason I give this 4 star is because the first one I bought was dead on arrival. and the heat paste used on this one isn't quite as much as the factory, but if I can get at least half the life of my factory bulb out of this one I'm a happy camper. Hope this helps anyone looking for a bulb that fits benq w1070.

Nice replacement bulb, do it yourself installation
Original bulb that came with our BenQ W1080ST burnt out after about 3000 hours. It didn't just burn out, it exploded, the area in the projector where the bulb enclosure sits was littered with tiny glass bits. Was able to shake it all out and get it cleaned up. So the question was whether to buy a new bulb with/enclosure, or just the bulb itself. Being somewhat handy and possessing a tiny screwdriver, I decided to take the enclosure apart and order just the bulb. Do yourself a favor and take some pictures of the disassembly so you know exactly how it goes back together. This replacement bulb seems to be the real deal, marked OSRAM P-VIP 240/0.8 E20.9n, which is identical to the original equipment. I've read lots of warnings about buying cheap knock off bulbs that last no time at all. Anyway it went back together fine, put the projector back up on the ceiling, and it runs good as new. Picture looks the same as it ever was. I have no way of telling yet what the life of the bulb will be, but it would seem to be high quality. So the projector is back in order for only a $75 bulb replacement, good deal.

Great replacement for oem bulb w1070 benq
UPDATE last 2 of these bulbs did not last more than 600 hrs. For this reason I am downgrading my review on these and recommending to stay away from them going forward. 07-13-21This bulb fits my w1070 perfectly. Read a lot of reviews about not trying to replace the bulb, but rather replace the whole housing. Not wanting to spend 1/3 the price of the whole projector for a bulb replacement, decided on this bulb. Good decision, this bulb matched the oem bulb perfectly. Many of the complaints about cheap knock off bulbs are not manifest in this bulb. my projection is bright clear and very much like the original bulb when I purchased the projector new. For those who would like a video of re-using the housing in your projector, there are many on youtube. My last bulb, I have bought two, lasted 3000+ hours. Very happy with this. UPDATE: I've bought three of these bulbs now, had good life in the first two but the last one only lasted 559 hours. Not sure what happened with the last one, but 2 out of 3 isn't too bad I suppose.

Works great now. Worried me at first cause it kept flickering with an image. Would have a picture then not for at least 10-15 minutes. Had it about a month and been working fine since that initial day. Nice and bright and easy to replace.-9 month update-This bulb exploded! It didn't give the overheating warning or anything. We did use this as our primary tv for the 9 months but the original bulb that came with the BenQ lasted a year and half. Hard to spend $250 for a replacement from BenQ though. Love this projector I'm feeling like bulbs may be a problem....

Held up for expected lifetime, ordered again
I've ordered these twice now - the first one lasted about 3 years, with regular usage, which was about the same as what I got out of the original bulb. Both replacement bulbs (3 years ago for the first, 1 month ago for the second) were marked on the bulb base as Osram, despite the description saying these are not - go figure... This is a great, low-cost way to replace your projector bulb.

Not OSRAM.
Purchased this lamp because several reviewers claimed they got an OSRAM lamp with pictures.Opened the box and the lamp had a single askew date stamp that screamed cheap knock off. Uh oh.Against my better judgment, I installed it. Correctly. All vents vacuumed clear and fan pushing air out continuously in High Altitude Mode.Ballast fired the lamp and it ran for two minutes before the projector shut down with the TEMP light on. Unplugged and reset and tried again 5 times with the same result.Returning. Do not damage your projector with this cheap crap.
