First - the ball mounting bracket requires at least a 3" spread between your ceiling fixture box mounting holes, with a deep box highly desirable. The box in my ceiling was shallow and the distance between the mounting holes too short for the fan mount. Thankfully my box was mounted to a cross member 2x4 so I could use long lag screws (the ones that come with the fan are too short) to securely mount the hanger bracket. Tucking in the wires was a real squeeze since there's also a large remote transformer to jam in there.If you're not handy or have experience mounting fans, this one will be a challenge. The instructions are bad - wrong in a couple places. I've installed several fans and figured it all out as I went along. Stringing the individual (and there are a load of them) crystals takes forever but my gf kind of enjoyed it as she got the hang of it.Now with the warnings of a hasslesome installation are out of the way - the finished product looks and works awesome. She LOVES it. Be sure to set the fan speed at the fan unit to high - that way you can use the remote to do slow, medium and high. If it's set on low at the unit, it will only spin slow regardless of the remote setting. We were shocked that the crystals don't sway much or jingle at all, even on high speed. They just barely wiggle, which actually makes them glimmer more.I put in 6w (~60w equivalent) LED bulbs and it lights a 21'x17' bedroom well. The bulbs are E12 - available on Amazon at good prices. The remote takes A23 batteries - also available on Amazon at good prices.If I have any problems with the unit, I'll update this review.

It is a bit tedious to put the crystals on but, I have purchased other lights and fans recently that also have crystals attached to them and this about the same as those other lights I bought. There were just more crystals this time and although it was time consuming it was totally worth the end result. It looks phenomenal in the room. So much so that I am thinking of putting this in my master bedroom too.

Blow well, but wish it was fast, & blows more air

Listen I don’t know what fan the other reviewers were talking about but it’s not this fan. They were saying the fan spins too slow and don’t blow enough air… but let me tell you… incorrect! There is a switch at the top of the fan and it’s set on forward, slide it down to reverse… and BAM! mega air. Stunning is the word! this fan is everything.. Classy and Sassy!!!! you won’t be disappointed. Admittedly I got nervous when I read about the air flow. but listen it’s a fan not an AC! Because I shop online I depend on the reviews to help make a decision about a product and so does many others. So when I make a review I’m honest based on my experience. If the item is garbage it’s garbage but if it’s good it’s good. Now the downside of this fan.. it didn’t come with bulbs or a battery, 😫. The the price I feel like it should have been included… a star was taken away for this reason.

It’s a very pretty fan, but the fan option is horrible. It barely blows air at the highest speed. The blades are barely angled, so very little air blows. Yes it looks pretty, but if you want to have a good fan option… look elsewhere.

Its absolutely gorgeous in looks. But yeah performance could vary.I received a faulty one whose speed wont change and remained at low. So i ordered a replacement and it worked great. I think they have some faulty pieces.

This is another stupid China crap fan. I got it up but everything went wrong. They give you no extra acres or essential parts. The instructions are stupidly inadequate. They give you these tiny stops to attach the crystals (see pic). It took me about 5 hours to get it up and functioning with 3 trips to Ace Hardesr to get extra screws. You can’t possibly hang all the crystals when the fan is in place, you have to put the majority on with the bottom piece off. This makes it very difficult to then hold up and install the insanely stupid small screw they supply. I went out and bought longer ones 8/32 x 3/4 inch. I suspended the bottom piece to the top with three large zip ties for and “easier” install. It looks good once up but don’t kid yourself it’s cheap Chinese crap. I hope it lasts.
