Beautiful leather quality

I bought this for the cover, cut the journal, and placed a small Catholic book inside it tucked into the pocket cover. On the other side, I put the journal (but cut it down to fit). Now I have a cute Missellette and journal for my trip to Italy/Vatican. Even lasered my name on the inside. I am going to use a bit of my boot oil to soften it up the leather a bit as well. Very nice quality. Came fast shipping

I initially purchased this journal for a client because of the symbolism of the Tree of Life. I have several variations of the Tree of Life in my home as it is one of my favorite images. I was pleased about the the quality and the look. My client's reaction was wonderful which confirmed that I made the right purchase.I bought 3 more - one for my business partner, one for me and as a thank you gift for another client. I read the description and comments especially in the low ratings very carefully before buying the first one.I was surprised that for the price it is really leather - (I can see it in the under skin and there is the smell of leather). The journal papers does not lay flat - they give you a good amount of paper and I assume that's why there is a strap to wrap around the binder and I handle with care. I also paid attention that the journal is an insert which is why it's refillable. There was a small tear on back grey insert but it didn't take away from the functionality and quickly fixed with a piece of tape. I liked the personal thank you note - it was a nice touch. I believe as with leather, it will soften over time.Every experience is different and I wanted to be intentional and thoughtful with my review to ensure my expectations were realistic. I found this product to be excellent especially for the price. I have more expensive journals that are not this beautiful. I will definitely buy this again. I am initially giving it an overall 4 stars because it just came so I haven't had a chance to use it as yet.I forgot to add that the bag to present it in adds to the beauty of the gift.I have just updated my rating to 5 Stars.

Pay attention to the size detail, because this journal is quite small. I bought it as a gift. Make sure the person receiving it not only write really tiny, but is extraordinarily succinct!! 😕

As someone who is on his 11th journal in the past 15 years I can be pretty picky. My last two journals that I finished were bought by my wife in a specialty shop in Pikes Market, downtown Seattle. That was three years ago and for some reason, I think she was looking for forgiveness. She must have been given forgive ness because they were truly excellent journals.I was coming due for a new journal when I ordered two from Amazon. When they arrived and looking at them I knew they wouldn't satisfy my writing style and big hands. The solution was to make them into our family vacation journals while searching for a suitable replacement for my wife's gift. That gift was coming to an end with only few pages left.After searching I decided on Life Handmade product. The journal arrived quickly and very well protected. It's a beautiful leather journal with a jewel on the front cover. The lined pages could be replaced with no lines but I understand some people love the lines. The front cover is beautifully designed.However, the one thing I would change in this product is that jewel on the cover. For those who need to practice their handwriting script, that jewel becomes a problem. That jewel isn't necessary because the design of the front cover is beautiful. It didn't take many lines of my writing before I found my Leatherman and removed the problem. I am not going for the over the top beauty of the front cover but to improve my writing and penmanship.Over all one of the better journals I purchased on Amazon.
