Not good for vibration.
Unit broke after only about 400 miles. The phone base doesn't have reinforcing material to prevent cracking to the ball and socket connection. Ribs are on the mount to the bike, and should have something similar to base plate or a round fillet to minimize stress at the connection to the phone base. This broke while on some rougher than normal France roads, but not like potholes or cracked pavement--just a little rougher ride with my road bike, which caused vibration to this unit. In any event, it should have lasted longer than 400 miles.

Great Bike Mount
Very Nice product, easy to mount on my bike and the grip for holding onto the Bike is large enough so that you have some options on where you want to mount it. I like the connection to the actual phone clip as the ball seems to be very tight which is key if you have a large phone to hold the weight, the tightening cover is very secure and I do not worry about my phone, key to this is the elastic holders they must be in place for the phone to be secure as if you it a bump and do not have the elastic attached the possibility of the phone jumping out of the cradle is real. I like it I ride with it every day and have had no issue with it moving around or dropping out of sight while riding due tot he ball not being strong enough to hold the proper angle.Dan

Effective and Easy to Mount - I Life It
I bought two of these mounts. One for my wife and one for myself. Putting them together was relatively straightforward and I mounted them to our mountain bikes. We used them on a recent trail ride, parts of which were rather bumpy. Our iPhones stayed secure the entire time and showed no signs of falling out of the mounts. On the bumpier parts of the ride, the phone would rotate and it doesn't seem that any amount of tightening would prevent that from happening. That wasn't a big deal because once the trail smoothed out a bit, I could simply move the phone back into position and it would remain there unless and until we hit some rough patches again. Overall, I'm pleased with these mounts. Great price and on-time shipping.

Stay far away
Worthless P.o.S!! I had it for three weeks and it just snapped last night. Phone broke. Mount broke. Only have been riding through city streets. Never again. On a motorcycle........ pffffffttttttttt....... yea if you want your phone to shatter in a million pieces. Why not

Worked great, until it failed.
My amazon account says I purchased this on August 9, 2016, so it's given me over 2 years of good service. However on my bike ride yesterday (October 13, 2018), the entire platform broke off as a crossed an intersection, and my phone crashed to the pavement. By some miracle the phone wasn't crushed by cars and it actually seems to be fully functional (I took the photos with it); I think the heavy-duty case protected it. I had no warning that the bike mount was weakened or in danger of failing, except for a very slight wobble just in the minutes preceding the break. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend this product, because of the danger of incurring serious damage to your phone.

Review update 10/13/2016: If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The mount completely exploded while I was bicycling, sending my phone flying into traffic. Thankfully I have a good case, because it would have been destroyed and I would have been out $700. DO NOT buy this mount.I used it for just a couple months, riding 5-10 hours a week. It was never dropped or otherwise jostled. But somehow the plastic itself just exploded. Picture is included.

Great design; low-quality manufacturing
I love the design, but the manufacturing is terrible. My first one broke in less than 2 months (less than 500 miles). After two emails, the company responded and sent me a new one. The second one also lasted only 2 months. The email I wrote to the company this time was not returned. This could be a great mount if they put more quality into the manufacturing so that they wouldn't break and put the phone at great risk.

Great quality! Rubber band is too small for phablets, though.
- 1 star because it isn't really designed for phablets/Note 5/iPhone #plus even thought it is advertised as if it was. First use, the band breaks on me when mounting my Note 5. I have a really thin case but I thought, OK maybe I just need to take it out of the case - I did, and swapped to the other band - The other one looked like it was going to snap at any moment. I had to return it for that reason. Other than that, it was a really good quality phone mount! If I had a smaller phone (Galaxy S or reg iPhone size) I'd love it.
