Automatic pill dispenser
We purchased this dispenser for a family member. She could not remember to take her medications. It has been a great decision. The device was very easy to program and works just as described. My only recommendation is I wish it had automatic DLS. I would recommend this item to all my family and friends.

A Dispenser That Provides Safety
This was bought for my 92 year old mother. It fits her needs well because she has dementia and the pill despenser gives off an alarm each time she needs to take medication, which is several times daily. It has enough compartments for multiple days and multiple times a day. My mom can't be trusted to handle her meds, but this dispenser gives me peace of mind that her meds are being given out as they they should be. My only complaint is it is charged by batteries. I don't like worrying about her not being able to get to her medicine if the batteries run down. Other than that, it's a good dispenser.

Good pill dispenser choice.
I have had the dispenser for a week now and it works quite well. Only negative is the locking mechanism could be improved. You have to double check to see if the lid is securely locked. Engaging the key in the lock is not always easy to determine.

Couldn’t live without
We have been using this with my mother for over a year without any problems. This unit is secure, but not tamper proof. If someone wanted to get in, I think you could pry it open with a table knife or similar. But for anyone just confused about timing, this works like a charm. We got this when mom started taking pills from the wrong “box” in her standard pill organizer. As described, there are 28 slots for pills. Mom takes pills 4 times a day, so we can fill it for the week. When it buzzes and flashes, she takes the pills from the opening…the only ones accessible at that moment. We have always been very careful to make sure the locking lid is full closed and the latch is FULLY turned until you feel the stop. We have never had problems with small pills moving. When it beeps, you do need to remove the pills before the next dispense time…if you don’t, the carousel turns and you can’t access them without the key. Batteries seem to last a long time. We switched them after about 9 months, but we probably didn’t need to…it was working fine. I gave it 4 stars for ease of use because some people have struggled with the latch. I gave it 4 stars for sturdiness because it’s plastic and you could break it open with a thin pry. But a product that aced those things would cost considerably more, and this item works VERY well. As I said, no problems for more than a year (none) and we couldn’t get by without this.

Great Concept, Very Poorly Executed
Completely impractical for real life. Changing the alarm requires you to unlock (with their silly and hard to use key) and completely reprogramming it. Then you have to reprogram again to go back to the original schedule. Want to take your pills a little early one day? Grab that key and dig your pills out of the compartment with a spoon. There’s no button to advance it for the day. In fact, no buttons are accessible without the key. This basically only works if you literally never have any changes to your schedule. Oh, and by the way, the alarm noise is that horrific beep from a 90’s alarm clock.

Secure med container
We bought this for my mother in law who has the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s. Meds were a huge part of letting her stay in independent living longer. It’s easy to program, Comes with 2 “keys” this design could be better but for the comfort of knowing she only has access to her meds at the time we program. This is great for one a day especially. We have it set to open at 7 am and an alarm will ring for a half hour (until need door is opened) then shuts off either way. She only has access to these meds until the next dose. In this case 24 hours. If she doesn’t take them in that time frame they get locked in and the next dose is available. It’s very easy for us to track and make sure she’s taking them. Love this and right now it’s on a huge sale. Very well made. Only need one and there are 28 spaces.

Dandy Concept! I wish the unit would last longer than 1 year....
THIS is a GOOD THING for forgetful or easily confused persons. The pills appear with a tone when due, and the tone sounds for 30 minutes. When the door is opened the tone stops. Now, as others have noted, the key to unlock the device is connected to a piece of plastic, too easily broken. Also, the device does NOT stay together unless the lock is used. Also, the inevitable banging of the device to release a stuck pill inside - will completely unhinge the box if it is not locked. A simple Robertson head or even phillips head on the lock would suffice in most cases, the tamp-pruf key is overkill. The box is just like your house, if anyone REALLY wants to get in, they can- Also the alarm only sounds for a half hour. A better scheme would be 5 minutes at the dose time, then 2 minutes every half hour after that. A blinking LED until the dose is taken would also be a great addition. If the person is hard of hearing, sleeping, or in another part of the house when the alarm goes off, the unit doesn't make a peep after that. It needs a 'NAG!' function :-) The setup is simple on the unit, and overall function has been good. If these improvements were added, I think it would beat any other unit on the market! 7/29/23 Just received the replacement unit for the one ordered 3/21/22. It seems the lifespan of the unit is just about 1 year, then the display goes away, and it is useless.
