Definitely worth it!
I’m always trying to find ways to stimulate my huskies mind on top of his physical activity. He was on the first lickmat for 30 mins and I brought him the second for another 30 mins. He didn’t even finish the treats on it. He’s a fast eater and I use a maze bowl in order too slow down the eating. This lickmat he was surprisingly gentle with and enjoyed it. I’m definitely happy with my purchase. I included a picture of other treat stimulators I usually use. So the lickmat may definitely be used daily if not every other. I used half a table spoon of almond butter on one and pumpkin on the other. I put both in the freezer for about 20 minutes before I gave it to him.

Not a gimmick, these mats are great!
Our dog is a licker. She’s part nervous and part bored, and her default for both is licking anything she can before she gets caught. This seemed like a product fit exactly for her, and while I was hopeful, it exceeded my expectations within an hour of delivery.I’ve now owned two mats for approximately 45 minutes. I took time to wash, prep and smear some peanut butter (her choice of treats) on the first mat for a trial run. After setting it on the floor, her tongue hasn’t stopped trying to reach the last bits of peanut butter for 20 minutes straight save one small break to look at the mat, as if puzzling how to get her tongue into every last corner.I can see she’ll be busy a while longer yet, and this has instantly resolved both boredom and licking at the same time in the exact method I had hoped for. I can’t wait to try the soothing mat during a nervous bought, but I have little doubt she’ll be just as engrossed. The only thing I’d ask for improvement on is a larger size, but this 65 pound shar-pei doesn’t seem to mind the 8”x8” square any.

Amazing product!
I loooooove this product! My dogs don’t really gobble their food, but I wanted something that would keep them entertained. Well , this is it! It took my older dog about 45 minutes to eat her meal (as opposed to 3-5 minutes). My puppy likes it too. I use it to feed meals, as treats, as a treat whenever I’m heading out the door....I want to try freezing them with some peanut butter, apples and bananas.Btw, even the cat likes it!

Helps anxious dogs settle; good counter-conditioning
I use these Lickimats with my two Pomeranians, both of which have anxiety. My female has separation anxiety - adding a bit of baby food to the mat and freezing it gives her a great distraction when it's time for my husband and I to leave the house. My male has fear-based aggression - he doesn't actually bite, but he will snarl and bark and chase and act very nasty whenever he is upset. One of the things he gets really upset about is anyone coming or going in and out of the door (whether it's us, friends, or strangers). The Lickimat, smeared with baby food, provides a great distraction when it's time for someone to come into our home or leave, and he's slowly becoming more and more comfortable with these situations since he's starting to associate them with the Lickimat. This may not be an instant fix for all dogs with anxiety unless their anxiety (or excitement) is mild, but it definitely works if you keep it up as part of a routine.

Good quality but not a right fit for our GSD
I really wanted to like this because our GSD loved licking the PB off of it. The material is a soft silicone type and it seems made well. I gave it three stars for the fact that it’s hand wash only (that was my bad for not realizing it before). I don’t mind the hand wash part honestly but cleaning all the PB out of the grooves is a b. I recommend soaking for a while. Another reason was how easy it was for our dog to tear it (picture). I was watching him as he was licking it and decided he wanted to chew it to try and get the Pb out of the corner spots since licking wasn’t working (I told him no right away when I saw him start) but the damage had been done after a few gnaws. Normally silicone toys are awesome with him but not these. Maybe I’ll give the tuff ones a try but I think I’ll just save my money and get something else.

Chihuahua approved
My girls are so thrilled over their new Lickimats! My three pound, Tuti, doesn’t have a bottom jaw or teeth so she usually eats off of a Mine Pet Platter (I highly recommend), but I got these mats to give them an activity. Tuti is able to lick up her meal on all three options now! My Honey also loves eating her meal this way. They even shared the green mat since Tuti finished her’s first. That’s huge for these non-sharing rescued sisters. 😂 I’m a huge fan and will be ordering some of the other designs Lickimat offers as well! They eat raw and this is just perfect. On these I spread and mashed up their raw food and a little baked sweet potato plus their kefir and fermented fish stock and it worked great! It took Honey about 25 minutes to eat and she shared with Tuti and gave up. Tuti is still going at it and it’s been 45 minutes so these are definitely serving many purposes and giving me some quiet time. 😅👌I looked at all the different brands and varieties of mats and went with this brand because of their multi-layer non-toxic design. I wanted a bit larger in size and these are 8”. These don’t slip and are relatively easy to wash up after.Update: one negative is they smell. No matter how I clean them. :(

I didn't think this would work...
My pup has pretty bad seasonal allergies leading to itching, flapping, and licking. The vet recommended we give him allergy medicine 2x a day...well, this dog can smell a pill in the middle of a cheese wad and figure out how to eat the cheese, and spit out the pill. So, we have to crush up his pills and mix them into peanut butter. I was tired of using our human plates to complete this twice-daily ritual, so I found these. I figured it would be worth a shot and, at a minimum, he would have his own "plate" for medicine time.He LOVES these things. I mix up the concoction and smear the peanut butter on one of these, and he's engrossed for at least 30-40 minutes. No more begging us for our breakfast. No more licking his paws all day. No more boredom. I was highly skeptical of this, but I've seen it in action and I can promise you it works.

Great amusement for your dog.
Lila our Border collie loves it!Licks the peanut butter out of it & it will last 1/2 an hour with her.Only downside is as with most dogs, if you don’t lift it after your dog licking the mat. Your dog may decide, it’s edible too! You’ll have green rubbery bits everywhere and green speckled doggy poo!So once your pooch had licked the mat to death, lift it& wash it straight away!😁

Slows down eating
We got this to replace our previous one . We use this for our cat to slow down his eating. He does sometimes chew it however hence needing to replace it. The downside is there are a few narrow holes near where the logo is which make it harder to clean. Food normally comes off after a good soak and a rinse though.

Dog likes it more than I do.
Dog loves it and it works. I'd maybe go for a different design, I put peanut butter in it. After the dog has finished there is still food in it, and it it quite difficult to get rest of food out of corners, tried soaking but in end have to scrub in all directions to get it out. Maybe dishwasher would be more successful.

Fun boredom buster
My dachshund absolutely loves this. Great for alleviating boredom and anxiety. Easy to use, but a little bit of a pain to wash!

Does the job it was intended for
My Yorkies love these and take their time eating now but as I use raw and add some herbs it’s hard to clean either with a sponge or brush, so I soak them in water for a bit now to lift off remains (tiny amount of remains really but it bugs me!) 🥴
