A TERRIFIC PRODUCT!!!
I am very pleased with this product. It was so easy to set up with the Tom Cat Bait Chunx which was also purchased. We got 6 of these and put them around our house. They are a very nice size and sturdy.I really hate to admit this, but feel this info. will be helpful to my review -- so here it goes!! I did not know we had a mouse problem. Really!! I did not know until I found a couple of mouse droppings under my kitchen sink. When I saw this, I thought I'd better get busy and catch that mouse. We have a "have a heart" trap on hand, so placed it under the sink, and Whamoo!, we got a mouse. I decided to keep the trap out just in case there were more, and we caught another mouse. Well after 45 mice, yes 45, that wasn't a typo, we were in a panic. One mouse even gave birth to 2 babies while in the trap, and we checked the trap every few hours! Up until then, I saw NO sign of any mice and can't believe we had that many undetected! We called an exterminating company. They came out and placed about 5 or so boxes around the house. We walked around the house and he pointed out holes in the ground that were made by mice. One hole actually had a mouse peeking out and looking at us!!! I asked if they would do an assessment to see where they were getting in, and he said No. I asked if they plugged up any areas where the mice could be entering and he said No,. I asked if he could go under the deck and see if they were getting in there, and he said NO, because of insurance policy! He said what they would do is come back every 3 months for 1 year to refill the containment traps. COST: About $1,000. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! Well, unfortunately, my husband had already signed on the with and paid them the first payment over the phone before they even came out. Well, I put an immediate stop to that. We were within 3 days of this goof up so I called to cancel the entire service at no cost. Otherwise we would have been charged about $300 to cancel past that time. THE GOOD NEWS: I purchased this product. The boxes are a nice size and hold 8 bait chunks. The boxes aren't much smaller than the ones used by the exterminating company. I know this will take care of our mouse problem. Up until now we were releasing them into the woods, but we had to get serious about this. They could chew electrical wires in the wall, and who knows what else. THESE BOXES ARE WONDERFUL and have saved us a ton of money. I would highly recommend them because I know they will be doing the very same thing the exterminating company would do.At first I did have some difficulty in opening the box with the key. I learned that it just needs to be in the right position and pressure needs to be applied when you push the key into the box. At first it may seem like the key doesn't work, but it does once you get the hang of it. I also put a brick/heavy stone on each box so that it will not be disturbed.

Works great, easy to use, keeps pets/other critters safe
Our neighborhood has a small problem with roof rats so we're working to get rid of them. We purchased these bait boxes & 2 different kinds of bait which are working. This is easy to use, keeps pets & other critters safe & definitely does the trick. So far, we've had 5 dead rats on our property & our neighbor who also uses these has reported success, too. Saves money over having an exterminator use the same thing while charging something like $1,000 for their service.

Works as intended
Works as intended. I wish they came with weights to hold them down or were a little heavier but that doesn’t stop it from functioning as it should.

These things are pretty tough.
These are pretty durable although the local raccoons have decided that they're a direct challenge and try to rip them off at every opportunity. Even a big stake driven through the floor is insufficient for the local trash monsters. Eventually I find them in the woods unopened, though, so that's certainly a testament to their build quality. Wish they came with extra metal pegs for the bait, though.

It's not rocket science...
This bait station is easy to use and you can easily use gloves to service/ reload the bait. I bought six of these after I found my cat having a friendly conversation with a rat in my garage (through a locked pet door) . It had chewed it's way in through a well sealed (all four sides) door opening. My wife scared the hell out of the rat and he took off.We live in an area where rats travel, but that was the first time one got in. No need for rodent chewed car wires, just give them snacks in the little black diner. They are using them and should help the situation.

Perfect bait feeders
These are the perfect bait feeders for rats and mice. You put them outside and they lick so the dogs can’t get in them. Since we out time out we have not seen any. Ice or rats. Restaurants use them. My neighbor said her house was infested with mice and I introduced her to these bait feeders and she said she no longer has mice. I recommended 100%. I have about 10 of them.
