Does exactly what it says. Different brightness of light available at press of button and a back shade so audience doesn’t see the light . Some people noted that it was a little heavy to put on the non solid music stands but I disagree. It clips on any style of music stand and is very sturdy. Seems to last ages between charges and easily lasts for a constant 2 hrs concert . First time I used it at my band practice another member ordered one immediately.

This light is perfect for illuminating sheet music on a stand. I use it daily for practice and have also used it for performance. The brightest setting is good for playing in a darkened room or on stage, the lower settings for when you just want a bit of extra in a lit room. The clip is extremely sturdy and grips very well to the stand. I would not recommend this for use with one of the very flimsy folding stands, as it has a bit of weight to it and they wouldn'tbeabletotake it. I use it with a heavy duty stand. The light is sufficient for three sheets of music side by side. There is a baffle on the side facing the audience so you can use it for performance without the light shining in their faces, you just have to make sure it's angled correctly.It holds charge for many hours of use, and can also be used while plugged in. There is an indicator light to tell you how much charge is left. One word of caution, the indicator light is activated by pressing a button, and it doesn't go back off by itself so if you leave it on it will run the battery down. It would be good if it switched itself off after a few seconds, but that's a minor niggle.All in all this is an excellent product, and I have just ordered a second one for my wife as she was so impressed with mine.

This was purchased primarily for a music stand, although reading other reviews when making my mind up what to purchase, there are clearly a number of applications this light could be used for.The unit had a good amount of charge in it on arrival which gave me the chance to try it out immediately. My first impressions:My main criteria for purchase wereBrightness and colour optionsRechargableOn both counts this light has has not disappointed. The colour and brightness options consist of 9 available selections, each of which are actually useful! Even on the lowest setting the light is very useable, and there is a distinct difference between each of the 9 settings. The light is stable with no discernible flicker. (Obviously that is a must, but still worth noting!) The selector switch is on top of the lamp and situated centrally, so you can change the setting easily without disturbing the position of the light.The charging facility is supported by use of 5 LEDs showing the present level of charge. The charging indicators are very easy to see but discreet, the use of 5 lights is a very good way to see how far your light is charged, and charging cable is a generous 2 meters USB-A. The connection into the unit feels positive and is easy to access. I am unsure of the charge time, and the amount of use you can expect from a charge, this will presumably vary considerably according to the brightness options you select.Other observations:The clip is large and strong, the spring feels robustThe gooseneck feels sturdy and does not 'flop' - once in position it stays putThere is a flange to prevent light leaking out at the back, minimising the chances of distracting othersThe documentation is minimal but absolutely adequateThe light arrived well packed - the strong cardboard box it arrived in will act well enough as a case for when I transport it to gigs etc.The width of the lamp is the same width as a sheet of A4. The brighter light levels in particular throw sufficient light across two pagesThe light is lightweight. While not flimsy, I am sure it will benefit from being looked after carefully, especially if like me, you intend to use it 'on the move'. NB it takes just a few seconds to unclip, fold, and put in the box, and vice versa!To stress, these are initial impressions. I hope the unit lasts well - time will tell, but a great start!!

This is great - the ability to switch between yellow and blue light makes this very versatile. We did a concert in a church with sodium lighting and this eliminated the all-encompassing yellow glare.

Seemed great initially. Used for a week on one show.Went to use again a few months later and when plugging in the socket disappeared inside the light making it unusable. REALLY poor quality.

Ideal for my music stand good value

Love that you can adjust colour temp. Battery lasts a few hours which gets through the show nicely.

I am using this light to illuminate a small Nativity scene during the holidays. The color options and 3 brightness levels give me a number of options. The clip is plenty strong enough to support the light and the rubber pads protect the surface where the clip is attached. The flexible neck allows me to position the light wherever I want it. The light being battery operated and rechargeable just increases the convenience. This product works perfectly and appears to be well made. I would recommend it to others for a wide range of uses.

Isn't it great when you order a product online and it turns out to be better than you expect? I have only used this for a couple of stage productions (I'm a musician) so far and it works perfectly, the battery lasts a long time and the choices of light hue and brightness are good. Also the light has a wide spread, depending on how close you have it to the sheet that you're illuminating. Great value and highly recommended!

I loved this light when I first received it a month ago. It was very bright on the highest setting which was great for me. However now it is stuck in the dimmest switch setting and I can’t get it to brighten. In fact I can’t even turn it off. I have contacted the seller and will give a follow up once I hear back from them.UPDATE: I received the replacement light as the company promised. It seems to be in good working order. Hopefully it will last longer than the other one. I really do like the light. It's perfect for reading early in the morning when I don't want to wake everyone else up from turning on all the lights. And the lowest setting is great to use as a night light.UPDATE- I heard back from the company and they said they would send me a replacement. Hopefully the replacement will last longer because I really do love this light and I use every day. It is bright and exactly what I was looking for. I'll edit this review when the replacement comes.UPDATE this replacement light has now stopped working. I believe there is a defect in these lights. I’m asking for a refund and I’ll buy a different brand
