This is a great replacement for the Swedish Trangia Stove, especially if on a budget.
Starting off: Let me say that I think that the original Trangia camping/backpacking stove is genius. However, due to overuse, the naked aluminum softened corroded just enough to become damaged. So I needed a replacement that hopefully would not break the bank... and then, I saw the ALOCS set. I know it's made in China so I'm going to be watchful of the aluminum quality over time (but then again, it happened with the Trangia, so, hey...), but this set has loads of potential! All of the aluminum is anodised, so it's ready to take on some heat, and scratches. It's actually a little bit larger diameter (and volume per pot) than the Trangia 27, so its easier to make things like fried eggs and smaller steaks, plus the lid is a huge plus for boiling water faster and keeping it warmer longer! I've also noticed that the damper that comes with the alcohol stove also acts like a tamper! The little metal handle swivels out so you can damper your flame much more safely because you're not picking up the whole damper awkwardly; AND, you can seal the damper, swivel out the little handle better, and extinguish the flame when you're done far easier! The best thing about it is the added Butane stove attachment! This was a huge reason for my purchase because I don't like being left in the lurch with one fuel option: suppose liquid fuel runs out, you still have what's essentially a jet-boil! On it's own for the name brand it's $47 to $77!For the price, it really made me determined to pick this up. For the whole same kind of set through Trangia, plus you have to add on the burner above, it comes to about $189-215. This set fluctuates between $75-85. Again, Swedish versus Chinese, so, no wrong decision here. And thanks to the reviews on here, I've not heard any complaints yet.So: Pros!-All of the pieces are anodized aluminum, more scratch resistant-Windscreen, pots, and pan are all a little bit wider than the usual Trangia 27-Comes with a lid to fit all pans and pots--so you don't really need a kettle to boil fast and hold temp longer.-The alcohol stove damper can also act as a tamper/extinguisher with a few adjustments of the tiny handle--the concept is better than Trangia's.-Butane burner attachment!!! This was huge for me.-Price. For the whole same kind of set through Trangia, plus you have to add on the burner above, it comes to about $189-215. This set fluctuates between $75-85. Again, Swedish versus Chinese, so, no wrong decision here. It's like 35% of the cost of the Swedish Original.Cons:-No nonstick cookware pieces-Made in China versus Sweden, so... consider that when you consider the quality of the aluminumThe strap that holds the whole thing together is flimsy, so be sure to melt the fraying tip so it's easier to put it all away.I'm looking forward to more and more use out of this! Glad I got it.

Ninja approved cookset
I planned to buy the adonized set from that popular brand that i shall not name, but THIS 9 piece alocs pot set seemed to be pretty close in every respect to that product yet it is less than 1/2 the cost. Thats a good deal! I bought this for my personal cook kit.Pros:The spirit burner has a rubber seal in the lid and it does not leak. I can store fuel inside it.It also has a nice snug fitting snuffer lid that is whole separate piece. Thus you can snuff the fuel without worry about burning the rubber seal. The free pot gripper is a plus in my book. You can find many youtube videos about this pot set using the search term CW-CO5I really like the simplicity and speed of my home made cat can spirit burner, but it never provided a stable and safe environment for live flames, thats why i chose this product. 1. It holds the spirit burner off the ground so no worries about the forest floor. 2. It encloses the burner so nicely that i don't have to worry about wind and don't need a separate tippy windscreen. 3. Hard adonized aluminum heats up so much faster than titanium, and then food cools down just like it should. (Unlike titanium)The entire cook kit is a nice comfortable size and easy to use. I leave my frying pan and second bowl at home to make the system lighter. The frying pan has great texture underneath it and its large enough to handle large portion cooking. The large bowl is big enough to store a pack of ramen noodles and some fixings beside it along with the pot gripper. The pot gripper works well and has a small footprint to it.The pans are a dark grey with a matte like finish and appear to be adonized and they are branded.Cons:There is no paperwork inside the box. The word adonized is also absent from the outside of the box. The advertising showed a red branded net bag and a cinch strap also branded with red letters spelling out ALOCS. My cinch and bag are simply black unbranded. Conclusion: i really like this company. And i love their unpretentious prices. A little challenging speaking english to them but they are very responsive sellers who stand by their products. I definitely recommend this pot set. Perhaps someday i will buy that overpriced famous brand pot and burner set, but thats a story for another day.update April 2022 i added a photo of ramen cooking using the small bowl for ramen and have stacked the fry pan on top to bake a flatbread at the same time. the flat bread smothered in peanut butter was delicious but alas, it was not photo worthy.the adonized coating is very durable. at times i have even gently scraped stuck food from the fry pan with a sharp metal tong and the surface has held up nicely.the short wide shape of this kits fits nicely into a backpack without creating uncomfortable lumps. there are smaller lighter aluminum sets out there but i find that this low and wide size and shape pot is best suited for those who want to do more than just heat water. plenty of room to stir in fresh ingredients.i also love that the lid is aluminum too. not a bit of plastic anywhere. great job ALOCS.

8.3/10--Best complete unit I've used to date
Legit Unit. Perfect for a solo camper. Superior stabilization & wind protection. I thought the unit would prevent the use of a larger pan, but I figured out an easy and quick fix for this. Perfect for a single-burner base camp setup or camping in general. Even though it is designed to stack into itself when packed, it is still a bit bulky for my 55L pack. Additionally, it was still a bit too heavy for me to justify the added weight on a thru-hike even after removing a few non-essential components (8.3/10--Best complete unit I've used to date)
