Tastes So Much Better Than Canned Tuna!
This 6-pack of wild Albacore tuna pouches by Vital Choice is on the pricey side. That said, it has a lot of great qualities that check the box. There is no added salt. It is naturally high in omega-3s. The pouches open easily and are ideal for packing to take to school, work, a picnic, or on the road.If you've eaten fresh tuna, you will find that this tastes much more like fresh tuna than the canned variety does. I really enjoy it. I am giving it four stars because the price is prohibitively high as of this writing.

1 pouch makes 2 sandwiches
Each pouch is 1 serving, but I thought it was plenty for 2 sandwiches out of one pouch. It says no draining necessary, but there was a little bit of liquid that I dumped out. My husband and I both thought the taste was good. These are great packets to take traveling. The pouches are easy to open and you won't need scissors. I'd recommend!

Wild Albacore Tuna
I have been enjoying this Wild Albacore Tuna by VITAL CHOICE on top of a green salad. It comes very compressed, packed in water, no salt added. I snip the pouch, drain off the water, and then flake the tuna with a fork. It is delicious, pure white albacore. Beautiful! I love that it is a low sodium product. Each pouch is 1 serving. The pouches are light and secure and easy to carry if you are hiking or camping. The taste is excellent. I highly recommend.

Healthy, but bland and expensive
On the plus side, this tuna is healthy: it is line caught, wild albacore tuna and is dolphin safe. And the pouches are BPA free. Although it purports to be more flavorful because it is only cooked once to preserve flavor, texture and Omega 3s, I found it to have little flavor. I even added some salt and pepper, but still found it lacking in flavor. One thing I really liked better than canned tuna, is the flattened compact tuna that comes out of the pouches. It fit perfectly on a piece of bread for my tuna sandwich. Of course, that also made it dry because all the moisture was squeezed out of it. And you pay for the convenience of having such a pouch, since one can buy line caught wild albacore tuna without salt in a can for less money per ounce. Each pouch cost about $5 (3 oz), which is more expensive than similar products on Amazon, including more well-known brands.
