VERY DANGEROUS. Do not buy!
60lb black mouth cur. Updated: I dripped this to one star. We threw these away. They are one of the most dangerous treats Ive ever seen sold. Do not give these to your dog.

Gave Dog Diarrhea
They did take my dog some time to chew, but not only did they give her diarrhea, they gave her diarrhea at 2am, meaning I had to get out of bed to let her out when she normally sleeps through the night. Do not recommend.

Dangerous
These break off shards of sharp pieces that will certainly cut their throats when swallowing. My lab mix loved them, but my whippet ate it, but by the time he got to the end of it, it seemed he wasn't sure if he wanted to finish it or not. I found sharp pieces that he left and decided not to give them to the dogs anymore, so I threw them out.

Dog wouldn’t even touch them.
First, they stink. Second, can’t someone please make things for small puppies, their teething they like chewing on things. Things that don’t weigh more then they do. My dog weighs 3 lbs, she can’t even begin to chew on these they are too BIG. I’ll have to throw away the entire package, it’s useless. Also, I think these things would just chatter into sharp chards. So even if you have a dog big enough to pick one up, I would still seriously consider the safety of giving it to my dog.

Beware!
My dog loves these, HOWEVER, they do NOT digested very well. When my dog has eaten them, it causes loose stools & diarrhea. I have found that when my dog eliminates, these come out whole because a dog's digestive system simply can not break these down. This has caused my dog to vomit & has had real digestive problems after eating these. My dog is basically a very healthy dog & has never vomited before. Your dog's body does NOT fully digest these treats. If you want vet meals, go ahead & buy them, however, if you want to keep your dog healthy, stay away from this.

OK Option For Heavy Chewer
My German Shepard mix absolutely destroys most chews and bones pretty instantly, but he loves to chew. These will keep him busy for a solid half hour or forty five minutes if we need him contented and working on something (and not pestering us or chewing on human toys and shoes).Overall one of the better products I’ve run across for this as they don’t seem to upset his stomach or give him rancid farts, and they don’t break into sharp shards quite as much as some other bones.

Great chews but these are for outside use
I’ve bought beef back straps before from a local health pet food store. My dogs love them! These ones appear to look the same and feel the same but have a definite odor!! The ones I’ve previously bought locally have zero smell. They appear to maybe have a little film (fat) on it and perhaps that’s where the smell is coming from? And maybe once that’s all gone it will go away? The dogs love them regardless so we only give this brand to them outside. The ones I buy locally I can give them in the house and not worry about the smell. I think these are great chews to keep your dog busy, satisfy that need to chew and way safer than rawhide!

Speaking for my Dog
I asked Zena, my large 60lb Husky Lab mix if she liked the backstrap tendon chew, but she was too busy chewing hers with a big smile and her tail wagging. Later she shared a knowing glance whenever I went near the package, hoping I was going to give her another. I did.Gary
