Good battery

I just received the battery a few hours ago, and I was unable to install it (the back cover doesn't close, because the battery is slightly thicker than the original one).The first thing I noticed is that the battery is noticeably heavier than the original one (which makes sense, as it is a higher capacity battery, so it has a higher density.I will not buy any high capacity batteries for the LG V20 from now on, and stick to the original capacity. I think manufacturers are trying to pack too much energy, and in doing so, they end up with batteries that are slightly larger than the original battery specification.I also noticed that the shell of the battery appears to be not metal, but some kind of soft plastic, and there were some indentations along a couple of the edges. Not something I want to see in a battery of any kind.

Works great and lasts for days in standby. I don't use my phone very much but I was only getting half a day in standby, 2 or 3 hours when running errands with it. Then it started shutting down at 30 or 40% and wouldn't charge on most of the chargers in the house. I almost bought a new phone but a Reddit poster said that this is a known issue with the factory batteries that come with this phone. I decided to give this new, extended battery a try because I just don't use my phone enough to warrant upgrading it. This phone is old but fantastic. It worked! You saved me $200+ bucks.It also fits perfectly. No problems closing the back cover or anything. Very pleased with this purchase.

I guess a tiny amount of swelling is normal for a Lion battery but this battery is such a tight fit that even the slightest swelling makes it very difficult to get the back on. And if you do push it to get the back on I worry that it might create more damage and swelling. But I have run this with the back slightly unlatched but with a tight fitting case and that actually works OK. But it seems a bit unsafe and inconvenient. Still, great battery life.

The battery life and charge on these is good, but I find that after a while they can start getting an invalid battery error from the phone or the charger. (I have two and this has happened with both.) This is because the fit in the top-to-bottom dimension gets loose. I find I can fix this by adding a strip or two of tape along the bottom. So not a big deal but if you realize this you might end up tossing it after a few months.

Edit: months later performing very good would buy againSo far I like these. They last long, and is buy again. I took one star off because I've been buying these lgv20 for a while, and they die real fast, only to find the manufacturer is gone, when looking for a replacement. I have a suspicion that the same guy is making all of these, and is just changing the name every 6-8 months or so, offering 2 or 3 years warranties Dont know this for sure obviously but...

I've only been using it it for about 3 weeks, originally ordered 2 and then decided to buy 2 more as backups. (when I find something this good I stock up) I love the long life during the day. I use my phone to watch tiktok videos and to check the weather and receive messages. I'm very happy with it's performance.
