Updated to say it's 4 years later...and this laptop is still running like new. 👍 12/24/2024^Love, love, love this new laptop. I work from home, and needed a faster, more reliable computer. It is the best HP laptop I've owned so far. The keyboard has the numerical keyboard also, which is a must for me. Fast loading files, quick internet connectivity, beautiful screen resolution. Also, the red color is a matte red that reminds me of my favorite Christmas ornaments.The price was well within an average person's budget, believe me I shopped around for days before deciding on this one. I do not impulsively purchase electronics, my last HP laptop was 10 years old. It's still working, slowly and updates are not working. My last cell phone (Note 3) was 7 years old. Upgraded that to Note 9 finally. Point being, I expect my electronics to last. I normally don't write long reviews either, lol. For what it's worth, I really do recommend this laptop.

Great computer for school work

One of the portals does not work. However, I did not discover that until I paid a computer technician to set up the laptop with all the items required, so I did not want to return the item to Amazon. Then, I discovered there is no cd/dvd drawer, so I bought a portable cd/dvd writer burner (extra cost:$28) --but it is difficult to set up and I am not a technical person. Additionally. I was very disappointed that Microsoft Word was not included. There are ways to download free Microsoft Office--but that is too much for me, I will have to call in a geek again. The Media program is also not included--in short, programs included on a laptop I purchased last year (Dell) included the programs I expected to find on this HP but did not! The picture is good, the computer is light and attractive, but all in all, I think this was not a smart purchase. if I knew enough about computers, I probably could have found better--but I am a senior citizen and of the belief that quality in almost everything, "Ain't what it used to be."

It took a little bit to set up. I had to erase everything like just to start over placed I security software and seems to be doing pretty good was very difficult to use. My email ended up messing it all up because of Microsoft. So now I’m locked out of my regular email and had to create a different email but oh well no big deal. As long as this computer does it what it’s supposed to do then I’m good. I’ll let you know within 30 days what happens I also because of Amazon I was able to purchase a two year program with Assurant through Amazon thank you Amazon two thumbs up

Easy laptop I have ever set up. Absolutely love it. Received it in 2 days and haven't stopped using it. Super fast processor, everything I need is at my finger tips. Would highly recommend it. Best bang for the price. I looked for a long time and nothing compares to this laptop.

Purchased this laptop, worked great for about 1 week. After one week, the computer monitor went black, and never stated again. Computer held charge, but monitor stopped working. I started the return process with Amazon, they replaced it with a new machine (same as originally purchased - brand new). After using the replacement to the first laptop, the screen went dark again never to turn on. Issues experienced in both machines were exactly the same, and a known manufacturer issue for this model. I settled for a full refund. DO NOT BUY THIS POS!!!!!

My elderly mother needed a new laptop and when this was purchased in late 2021, there were not many options available (and even fewer of a reasonable price). We selected this one for the size, OS, and mom loved the red case. She mostly uses it for email, Facebook, and to watch some videos on. No complaints.
