No more guessing! Works perfectly.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:A relative of mine has two of these. He recommended them. I bought two. Super easy to set up. A joy to use.

Works well and nice to have the USBc power and/or battery power options
Works well and nice to have the USBc power and/or battery power options. Easy to set the stop distance within the specified distance range (I didn't try it outside of that range because I needed about a 3 foot distance for my application). Would be nice if the little sensor had a way to be mounted by screw as an option (its mounted by double-sided tape) in order to make repositioning it easier (my first mounting location, centered side-to-side to the front bumper, was just a few inches to the side of a cabinet and this caused some interference with the range-finding - so I moved it a foot or so to the side and that location has worked out very reliably, I just needed to then supply a new piece of my own double-sided tape). Anyway, has been working great now for a week -- my wife no longer pulls in too far and making it hard to cross in front of the car and pulls in far enough that the garage door doesn't scrape up the back of the car (which is really what prompted me getting this device and some touch-up paint to fix the scratches the garage door did to the back of the car last week :-/ ).

Revised rating from 1 star to 5 stars
Revised rating. Upon installing the garage sensor it failed to detect our auto, so I gave a one star review. In the process of returning it to Amazon, I contacted STKR customer service. Turns out an adjacent metal cabinet was interfering with the beam. I relocated the sensor button and resolved the problem. Unit works as advertised. However, if you walk in front of the beam and your parked car, the unit lights up for short period, thus depleting the batteries faster, reason for four star rating. STKR Customer Service was very helpful and worth calling if you encounter problems.

works as it should...at first - REVIEW UPDATE *FAILED*
***UPDATE***It failed a week after my initial review. First I noticed that the batteries were already dead not knowing that it was not really shutting off. One night I had to go into the garage and it was freaking out and the lights were flashing like a dance party - I think temperature changes and humidity are not great for the sensor and I checked the second set of batteries they were still good. It also would not work randomly so you never knew if it would work when you pulled into the garage. .....Back to the wood parking blocks until I find a better solution. as other have stated I would not recommend this product.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Easy to set up (battery or USB) and it has worked well for the first few weeks. It is a perfect easy solution to parking in the garage without the need of parking blocks. Kids were always tripping on them and made it hard to clean the garage floor. I will update the review if it fails prematurely. fingers crossed!

Convenient. Easy Install. 2 Months in, and going strong...
I was hesitant buying this after reading some reviews. But at the price, it was definitely worth the try. And, the price really is what makes this a good choice. I'm not sure how varied the products is going out, but my unit has worked great for going on 2 months now. I have been running on the supplied batteries the whole time. I'm going in and out at least twice a day. For the price, this beats almost all the options out there.PROS:What I like most about this over almost any other solution is that it doesn't rely on you hitting your parking spot at a consistent place -- like a laser on the dash, or some other spot. I can come in at almost any position and it's just going to register off the grill of my car. It doesn't require a tennis ball hanging from your garage ceiling, and doesn't leave parking blocks on the floor that get in the way.The position registration is consistent and repeatable. When I set it up, I wanted about 6 inches of gap between the bench at the back of my garage. I parked, pressed the button to set the distance, and it is spot on every time. It detects the vehicle about 4-5 ft away, and the goes to red almost exactly 6 inches away.I actually like that it's battery powered. I can undertsand if the battery was draining after a few weeks, or maybe a month. But for me, it's been going strong for almost two months now. If I have to change it every two months, that's not a problem. I'm also going to try with some rechargeables when it does finally go out. I would consider a plug in USB, but it's in a place I don't want wires coming in from. I'd also consider a USB bank, which I might also try.CONS:If you're working in the spot you park, it's going to go on and off. That might drain the battery, but I 3D printed a cover that goes over the sensor, and that stops it from happening. This is far better than having a tennis ball hitting your head, or floor stops you might trip over over and have to reposition.About the only other problem I've had is that the adhesive came off once, but that's because I have it on a narrow vertical rail on a shelf. But this is easily fixed with a screw plate, or zip ties.Overall, it's been about the best solution for me in my garage. Convenient. Easy Install.

STKR Concepts 00-382 Adjustable Garage Parking Sensor Aid, White
I mounted this on my metal cabinet directly in front of my car. I tried settling the distance at 39 inches several times by pushing the distance set button for different lengths of time. This has not worked once. The green and yellow lights never come on and the red only comes on when about 6 inches from the sensor. In my opinion this is junk. I will be returning it.UPDATE: I found there was an object on the floor of my garage that was interfering with the IR beam that measures the vehicle distance. After relocating the object this sensor works flawlessly.
