The longest a pair has lasted
I was in the habit of replacing Bluetooth earbuds every 3-6 months because they've wear out or go bad for one reason or another. I bought these as a backup in July 2021 when I opened a spare set. That set went bad in under a month and so I broke these out. As I write this review in April 2023, I just opened the second pair. I didn't need the second pair because the originals went bad; no, I lost one back in the Fall and the other just this weekend while on a trip. I usually only wear 1 earbud at a time while doing housework, driving, etc. Most mornings I am up at 7 and listening to podcasts. I teach 8a-3p and listen using them for maybe 1-2 hours during the day and they are on standby. After work, I listen for 1-4 hours or more. Usually towards then end of that or close to getting ready for bed, I'll finally get a low battery warning and have to switch ears while getting ready for bed. Continuous podcast or audiobook listening on the weekend and they probably die in 6-ish hours. Charging is usually pretty quick, but using only 1 at a time I usually don't need it and rarely pay attention to it during the day. I've not ever drained the pill case except when I've used it as an emergency backup for my phone's battery. I love that the case has a percentage battery indicator (all my prior pairs had 4, 25% increment, lights or the earbud charged directly). I've had several rigid earbuds that have hurt my ears, but unless I am laying on these I don't notice them and sometimes forget I have them in. I dropped one in the toilet once and it stayed connected. After immediately fishing it out and drying it off, I put it on a register at home for a day. I expected it to die, but that was Fall of 2021 and it lasted until I lost it.The only complaints I have are: 1) color, I wish it was plain and subtle (black or white), 2) when new they were sometimes hard to pry out of the charging case, and 3) the rubbery anti-dust flaps on the charging/USB ports deformed fairly quickly. No e of those take away from my pleasure with these, especially at their cost. I've never been impressed with AirPods and I've handled a student's Raycons. The Raycons were surprisingly light, but he and I couldn't find a difference in basic performance.

Very good, very different from the rest
The Aminy U-Mini earbuds are pretty good. You can do a lot worse by buying other earbuds. This would be a solid 5 if it handled phone calls better. The U-Mini has many features that set it apart from the rest – the case has an ultraviolet light (probably the frequency that sterilizes things) and turns on when the earbuds are put into the case. I haven’t been able to test, of course, but I doubt that the company put these LEDs in to the case just for show. This feature makes sharing of earbuds a bit safer because the earbuds are, in theory, sanitized each time you put them into the case. The earbuds are molded with nubs that make them fit into the ears more solidly than most earbuds. (I knocked out an earbud from another U-mini – it fell somewhere in my car – never to be seen again. It may be laughing at me as I search for it, thinking ‘look here, dummy').Okay, now on the subject of finish – Aminy offers their earbuds in a variety of finishes. You don’t have to wear boring black or white earbuds. (The ones I’m reviewing here ARE NOT boring in a pattern called 'Fireworks.'). Aminy offers the earbuds in a few different colors. I bought the ‘Fireworks’ earbuds, and they’re pretty nice. My wife described them as the ‘Leroy Neiman’ earbuds. I really like the way they look. I really like the look of Fireworks. The earbuds automatically pair to your phone. Each set of earbuds has a different code – so, unlike some other earbuds that I’ve tested, you have to pair each set of earbuds to your phone. (I’ve tested some earbuds that paired – even though they were a new set, from a different ‘manufacturer’, being reviewed for the first time, and hadn’t been paired already). The U-Mini give voice prompts when the phone connects, and when it disconnects. It indicates when the earbud has been paired. And each earbud is independent of the other. In theory, I can take the lone earbud from the pair that I bought, and make phone calls and listen to music in mono. You can use these earbuds individually, or as a pair. The case has another feature that makes it stand apart from the others: a rubber cover protects the USB ports from moisture. There’s a USB-C port that is used to put juice into the charger’s batteries; and a covered port with a USB-A connector for charging phones or other devices. Yes, the charger is big – but not so big that it causes a bulge in my pocket. The sound is good. I deducted a star because it’s not that great for phone calls made from noisy places. If most of your calls are made at home, or in your car, or in an office, this should be a non-issue, but if you use the phone from a store or other ‘loud’ place, the earbuds will pick up other sounds and make it difficult for person being called to separate your voice from the background noise. All in all – the U-Mini are a good example of innovative design, creativity, and attention to detail. I just wish they weren’t so good at hiding if they fall out of your ear.

Comfortable but sound is tinny
I just received them today and I am still trying them out. At first use I notice these are not noise canceling, which isn’t a bad thing for some uses like running or biking so you can still hear what going on around you. But the most thing I noticed is they are not deep bass, in fact they are very tinny. I even tried downloading a bass boosting app on my phone and it doesn’t make any difference. The sound is very clear and crisp otherwise. This also doesn’t come with different sizes of ear buds. I did swap the buds for an extra set of foam buds I had left over from my decibullz ear plugs. (See picture). That did improve the bass and the noise reduction, also after using them awhile the bass did improve.Update. Ordered new buds called Spinfit. They now seat into my ear canal and are noise canceling. The sound is so much better. See the added pics

Great but...
The sound is good and it definitely can be worn in the shower... But the main thing is that they aren't that comfortable. The little rubber wing that helps it not fall out of your ear its kinda uncomfortable.
