U.S. vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered Discovery Edition of this classic 1970 album from the British Rock legends. With this beautifully remastered version, it's time to discover Pink Floyd all over again. Review: Classic Pink Floyd - I seriously doubt that there's anything I can add to what's already been written about this perfect album. I grew up in the 60s, smoked pot and dropped acid, and well into the 70s, listened to "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Wish You Were Here" more times than I could ever count. Musically, technically, spiritually, psychically, emotionally ... there are very few albums ... scratch that ... there are THINGS in life that can capture and codify an entire generation of humans to a specific time and place in there lives the way Dark Side of the Moon has managed to have captured! It is simply miraculous! I was fortunate enough to see the Grateful Dead on their first US tour back in the 60s, but it wasn't until Pink Floyd's 1972 Dark Side of the Moon US tour, just before I got drafted and shipped off to Vietnam, that Floyd truly made a musical impact on my life. To this day, that music continues to crawl into my brain and sit there ... for days at a time. It's a part of my (now) old life, and it always will be. I have no idea how the current generation perceives Pink Floyd's music, given the breadth and depth of music that's currently available to listen to. All I know is what I know, and I'm a fan! Review: Its nearly 2014 and this album is still perfect. - This album is pure perfection from the album artwork, to the lyrics, to the sounds and to the creators, Pink Floyd. This was the first album I happened to listen to one night when I met psilocybin for the first time. The sounds were so unique and every song had a different touch of its own to make the album a great listen from intro track to end track. After I heard it in its entirety for the first time, I played it again from start to finish two more times, it's that good. I love that it sounds like one huge song, the ends of each song fade into the start of a new song. I still get goosebumps when I play it. I highly recommend this piece of music to ANYONE. After Breathe (In the Air) comes to an end, you will hopefully be pulled straight into the world of The Dark Side of the Moon, an album breaking the billboard 200 in the top 10 to this day, even when it was released back in 1973. If that doesn't tell you how well written this album is, I don't know what will. This is music. This is what I would consider art. Every song is gold. The message displayed in this album is beautiful. This will be a record that will be played for a very long time, it is a part of history.

Amazing. Must have for any music collector.
There are a lot of versions of this record around, it's one of the greatest records in history. So you already know about the music. That's not why you're reading this unless you were born in the past decade and you're only just discovering good classical rock from it's roots. That's ok, welcome to the fold. You want to know more about this record though. It's a thick record, 180grams. This is boss. Why? Because it's harder to break! Anyone who owns records for 20+ years knows what happens to them when they are thin and brittle. These big 180gram records are where it's at! I love getting these giant thick discs. They're heavy and take up a lot of weight and space, but you're collecting records, so you don't care obviously or you'd just have an ipod. If you're looking for convenience, get something else, like a CD. If you want quality, something that will last your life time, something beautiful you can handle and listen to, this is the record style for you. I don't mind switching between records and they at least put it on one record. I have other big thick 180gram records that required two records to take all 12 tracks, so this is just a phenomenal package. It comes with some good posters and stuff too (and free MP3 download of the entire album so you can have it on your phone/mp3 player too). Great deal. I'd buy it again in a heart beat.

What need be said? - perfection, deep and reflective
Haunting, beautiful, cynical - The reflection of the happy-sad-tragic Syd Barrett is everywhere in the compositions. The exquisite guitar work of David, the solid, meaningful drumming of Nick, the keyboards of Richard and the bass of Roger - there is a reason that this is a timeless classic. As much as "Wish you were here" - Pink Floyd transcends. Experiencing it on vinyl, in pure analog glory lets you hear this masterpiece as it was intended. Do not listen to it an an off hand manor - absorb it, or rather let it absorb you. Regardless of the fights and the internal disagreements going on - when they came together to create music, they created magic. - I'll see you, on the dark side of the moon.

High quality vinyl and packaging
If you're getting back into vinyl, or getting into vinyl for the first time, I'm pretty sure you have to include this album in your collection. Your preferred music genre is irrelevant, this album is basically the price of entry! This is also a great choice, it's a high quality 180 gram vinyl which is in a plastic film liner which is contained in a very nice, satin-feel gate fold jacket. The prism is iconic. They also include a pair of stickers and a poster in the opposite side of the gate fold. The stickers weren't particularly interesting to me, but the poster looked pretty nice. Though I'll be just keeping it all together for posterity.

Consigliati.

A super album, one of the best of all time. Came with may inserts including a poster and two postcards. Audio quality is excellent and love the gatefold. The matte album cover can be prone to fingerprints but looks great most of the time.
