haven't tried it yet - here is how to play
1. you get a character who can pick up cards in different way ( from the deck, from other players, from a discard pile, etc)2. your weapon can shoot either 1, 2, 3, or 4 players over (left or right)3. you draw cards and can play as many as you want on your turn; taking shots at people, taking their cards, putting them in jail, etc.its the outlaws vs the sheriff and the game is over when the sheriff is killed or the sheriff is the last man standing.a lot of the fun comes from three things:1. you never know who the other players are besides the sheriff ( everyone knows who the sheriff is) so there is a mystery element.2. each player takes turns in a unique manner according to their character card ( taking 3 cards and choosing the best two, taking a card from another persons hand, etc.)3. the randomness of who is going to be shooting at who and the ways that people can deflect the bullets or how they come back and shoot at everyone else and how everyone else deals with the chaos.I haven't played this game yet but after taking some time to read through the directions and learn the basic structure of how the game plays out, the different cards and their meanings, etc., it seems like there is a great element of fun to be had.I especially like how each player has a different style of how many cards they can pick up and from where and how they are picked up, and a character name that reflects their abilities. For instance, vulture Sam collects all of a players cards once they are eliminated from the game and adds them to his own hand, hence the name vulture.at first the concept seems overly complex but after an hour or so the game appears to be quite basic and fun.5 stars for concept and fun

Wonderful, Thematic Game!
One of the favorite games for my friends and I! The game is pretty simple: one person is dealt a "sheriff" card, and has to flip it face up so everyone knows who that is. Everyone else has hidden roles. Some may be "vices" and only win if they protect the sheriff. Others may be "outlaws" and win if the sheriff is dead. One person may be the "renegade" and only wins if s/he is the last person left in the game. (A very difficult thing to do...)Everyone sits in a circle. At the beginning of the game, each player has a weapon with a range of one, meaning I can reach and shoot the people sitting to my left and right. But as the game goes on, people get guns with longer range, things to hide behind, and other thematic items that make the game more interesting. It's a fun game, it oozes theme, and it goes quickly once you understand the rules. Very fun for groups of 5 or 6!

This is always a favorite among my friends, mostly ages 20-30, but I imagine it's great for all ages. It never gets boring, and the trying to guess the roles of other people really adds a fun dimension to an otherwise straight forward game. It's easily adapted to a fun drinking game as well! Another nice thing is that it isn't a million pieces to set up and put away, like a lot of my favorite games. Set up and clean up its quick and easy!

Board Games Fans Love This One
I've played Bang with several different groups of gamers/non-gamers, and everyone seems to love Bang once the game gets started. The play is fast paced and this game is just dripping with western flavor. It's fun to pretend to be a wild west scoundrel while shooting it out with your buddies. There are several different roles in this game, so it plays out differently each time with plenty of variety to keep things interesting. There are only two real bummers to point out with this game. First of all, you need a minimum of four players to play. Also every once in a while I have gone down very early in a game, within the first couple of turns. This can be very frustrating if the game ends up going long - you could easily be sitting around for half of an hour waiting to get back into the game. These are minor weaknesses of an otherwise excellent game.

My family loves this game! We have played it with several other families that come over to the house for game night. It is a fun game that keeps you guessing who the deputies and renegades are. My kids have picked up on it quickly (ages 8 and 5) and love to collect different weapons and increase their range. A great game for a family who loves the west and playing games.

Love this game!
This game is seriously the best! If you haven't played it before you definitely should. Everyone gets really into it and it is fun for a larger group game night. I have played a lot of board games and card games over the years and this one remains my favorite. Everyone needs a fun board game night and this is really one of the best games out there. Enjoy!
