Only as smart as the user
I got mine in the mail a few days ago, and I like it. I read all of the reviews before I did, and I was a little nervous about the quality of the item, but after using it a bit I can see where the others ran into issues. The way it counts money is by a sliding mechanism that measures the size of the coin to accurately count how much it’s worth. The draw backs are A- it is difficult to push coins through.B- waiting for the machine to add each coin to the total can take a few seconds.C-sometimes if you push it through too fast it won’t count the coin, but if you half insert a coin of the same size you can circumvent the issue.D- *sometimes it makes mistakes and adds the wrong value*. I saw this complaint a lot, but I think it’s because when putting the coin into the counting mechanism, they slid the little slider farther out than the size of the coin. As long as you are careful to push the coin straight down, that doesn’t happen.Overall, I find it very helpful and I plan to continue to use it. -1 Star because my fingers hurt from pushing the coins through.

Innovative way to store loose change
This is a great little jar for all your loose change. Previously I was just tossing my coins in an old jug, but I love that this is a nice clean way to keep track of all that. It counts your money for you, so when you reach a certain goal/checkpoint you can start rolling the coins for cash! Happy I made the purchase.

Love it!
My husband leaves change all around the house. He has an old J&B bottle bank but it doesn’t fit nickels or quarters. So I thought I’d give this a try. Outstanding little bank! You have to press hard to insert coins so it can read them. So it might be tough for small kids or elderly to use. The display shuts off when not in use but still holds the information from the last use. So far I am loving this little bank!

Easy bank
Great product! Now I can stop using all the trinket dishes I have lying around with my change and drop everything in here! When inserting coins, you need to push a little hard to get them going and then it’s easy! The screen tells you each time you insert a coin the amount that coin is and then the total appears. You can use the plus and minus buttons on top to subtract and/or add a coin amount in case it messes up :)

Durable and the best!
I bought the Coin Piggy bank Saving Jar with blue accent on February 2019. I know, it’s almost 2 years but I wanted to make sure I gave an accurate review after using the item. I am so happy I bought it. It is true to picture. Durable and it doesn’t look like cheap plastic. I have been using this in my cash journey and with that comes a lot of change. Till now, I haven’t changed the battery, yep, you read it right, almost 2 years and battery still going strong. The plastic has stayed the same clear look. I hope they come out with a hot pink accent color or purple soon. I totally recommend you this jars.

The kids love it
I purchased this bank for my 7 year old niece to encourage her to save money. She loves it because it keeps track of how much she has saved and she can see it on the counter screen! Her mom loves it because it helps with math skills (my niece hates math). The bank is exactly as described and arrived as promised. Just pop in "AA" batteries and your good to go.

Works pretty good
I bought this for my 17-year-old daughter who started working and getting tips. She wanted someplace to put all the change and thought this would be a great way to watch the money grow. This bank works well at detecting all coins except for dimes and pennies. I read other reviews and it seemed hit or miss if other people had the same issue so I took my chance and bought it. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't work 100% of the time to tell the difference between all the coins. There are two buttons on the top to adjust the amount displayed so when the bank doesn't calculate correctly you can fix it. Otherwise, it does a pretty good job. It is made of hard plastic and seems pretty sturdy and unbreakable it should be dropped. Fun to watch the money accumulate!

Failed in 2 weeks....company replaced it.
I like the simplicity of the bank and the price. It counts the coins correctly. Unfortunately after just 2 weeks the display went out. I tried new batteries. Nothing. I rubbed my finder over the display and the letters appeared briefly then faded again. I ask to return it for a new one and received the replacement in 2 days. So far so good. But it takes a lot of time to load $60 of coins into the bank. I am hoping for the best.
