GREAT PRODUCT - POSITIVE PRINTER SWITCHING BETWEEN MULTIPLE COMPUTERS!
I bought one of these some years back so I could use my printer with two computers. The unit is designed for use with up to 4 computers although I only have two. To my great surprise, the unit worked very well and has held up over time with much use. I just got a second (color) printer and as I still have two computers i decided to buy another switch unit so I could use the new printer with either system - just like the older printer. The switching is positive and the button actuation "feel" is top notch. If you have a need to share a printer with up to 4 computers, this is the printer switch to buy!

Great both ways
I was looking for the input and outputs working the opposite way but couldn't find it. Although this is advertised as one-way, it worked for my needs and i was able to use it for multiple printers connected to my computer. Awesome product, especially for the price. Easy and quick set up for connections.

pretty reliable when paired with a powered usb hub, decent value
6 months later, switching between ports 1 and 2 daily has become more and more unreliable. As others have noted, the electrical contacts seem to be degrading. Symptoms are that periodically, the devices lose their connectivity and reconnect. As time went on, this happened more often, and seemed to accelerate. Now sometimes the devices won't reconnect. For now, I'll switch to ports 3 and 4 and see if I can get another 6 months out of this. I suspect it's the contact points within the switches that are wearing down. Since those are the only moving parts. ---- good value at $9. physical switch, so it's like plugging and unplugging the device. not perfect, but works better than the emulated switches if being able to see the peripherals is important. Also no worry about the computers being connected to each other and causing problems. The physical switch prevents that from happening.

Works exactly as described.
I took a chance because the price was low. I have multiple USB sources I want to connect to one DAC. I had to buy A to B adapters, but they are much cheaper than cables. I now have 4 devices connected to the DAC. It works. They sound fine. The only con is the manufacturer's logo on the top of the case. I'm deciding how to cover it up. I am curious how long the mechanical switches will last. If they're decent quality they may outlast me. I hope I don't have to update the review.

UNEXPECTED PERFECT FIT, WORKS GREAT FOR MY AUDIO MIXING!
Well, I honestly did not think anything good will come out from this device. I was looking for a USB 2.0 Type B splitter but could not get any.. However the switches I have seen so far (this one included) had the undesired in/out direction set. Was at least looking for USB 2.0 in with 2 TYPE B OUT. But this was the contrary... Yet as I was browsing to order something else I added this one with NO expectation at all... thinking it's just $8 and worst will trash it... But oh BOY! Was I wrong! This not only sat very well where I was needing it, blends in very well, and top of it the switches buttons do work well as intended between both connected computers, and though the direction of the in/out is not what I expected, yet it carries EASILY both ways from my Mackie ProFX 16 mixing board (in/out and out/in).. I can easily record sound through the box into my audio software, and playback sound into the mixer perfectly through the same box! Note: At first, I was hearing some crashy noises on the playback, but very quick it was ruled out from being the box, as the track picked up from previous noises. So to say this item did more than I actually thought it could ever do! I'm impressed indeed! Will recommend based on my on site impression!

Working well with SIP phone, computer, and smart phone input, and out going to a USB headset.
I bought this to replace a UGREEN 2-port switch because I needed another input jack. After spending far too long looking at the various switches that met my requirements, I stumbled upon this one. At $7 why not give it a try! I have a Nextiva SIP desk phone, a computer, and a smart phone connected to the inputs. The output is to a USB headset. This allows me listen to music on either the PC or the smart phone, and if a call comes into the desk phone, or a Teams call is started on the computer, I can easily and quickly switch to the appropriate device. I've had no reports of degraded microphone audio, and I have not noticed any impact on audio coming from the headphones. So far it's working very well. No complaints. The unknown at this point is how long it'll continue to function. Given that this thing uses mechanical switches, it has the potential to work properly for a long time.

I needed to be able to share a printer between my desktop computer and my wife's laptop, looked at many USB switch units but most had some (or all) socket's on the front which would mean the connecting cables would be untidy. Some had lights which I deem unnecessary, this unit features all socket's on the rear and just two push buttons on the front. It is a neat, small and beautifully made product that (thus far) works perfectly.

I bought this because nearly every other desktop USB switch has ports on both back and front - a nightmare for keeping cables out of the way. Well done for getting this right! Unfortunately the switching is clunky and seems to be causing errors on USB with my Logitech webcam (I am switching keyboard/mouse and webcam to share two computers with one screen). If I unplug from the affected laptop and reconnect, all devices are back online. This doesn't happen with the Ugreen USB switch I was using before, which I replaced because of the cable mess. USB switches never seem to work perfectly with every device, but I wonder about the manual mechanism used here vs. an electrical switch. Does the latter handle the interruption better and prevent errors? I can't say for sure. But unfortunately it seems to be a choice of tidy cables with this product or reliability with others, at least in my case.

It was good at first - operated as expected however quality of product sneaks in. Only used for a bit – and as per the one star reviews seen – at least one of the ports has become unusable! I could take it to bits and fixed it (its obviously a poor solder connection) but I shouldn’t have to! A big shame overall as did what I wanted it to do (however for very little time)

I'm using this to switch a DAC between a Mac Pro and a PC without any problems, worth mentioning it's a mechanical switch meaning the buttons physically move the contacts between the ports rather than being electronic, I personally find this more reliable but if you're using it constantly throughout the day I guess there's a chance it may wear out fast.
