Edwards Signaling 44 Contactor N C

I installed this switch in my pantry's door jamb. When the door closes, it presses the ball into the socket to cut power to the LED strip lights in the pantry. When I open the door, the ball is released and the lights come on.I'm using this switch with a 24 volt set of strip lights from a Blue/Yellow furniture store. I used a 7/8" drill bit to make the hole in the jamb for the body of the switch to fit into. I had to cut and strip the power wires that run from the outlet transformer to the LED strip lights, then I connected the bare wire leads to the screw terminals on the back of the switch. Pretty easy. Took about 30 minutes to drill the hole in the jamb, the hole on the backside of the door trim (to feed the wire through), and test everything.I'm already looking at other closet doors around the house where I can use this setup because it works so well. Also, thanks to the seller for answer my question before I purchased.

This switch required only a single 13/16" drill bit to install the switch in the door frame. Spade bit made VERY quick work of the hole :)Wires attached easily, and operation is smooth. Family happy with results!Don't forget -- this switch must be paired with a relay to operate an AC fixture.

Hi, the item I received may be defective, the lights stay on when the door is open and closed. I just got around to installing it and I am past the acceptable return date. Can I please exchange for a new one?

Functions perfectly. One caveat: the thin mounting tabs are susceptible to breaking if the switch is dropped.

The Amazon information says "Made in United States", but the box containing the switch indicates "Made in China".

Perfect replacement for previous contactor that mysteriously stopped working.
