Does seem to repel Rabbits- Does seem to damage Petunias- Get the 40oz Concentrate.
There seems to be a colony of cottontail rabbits running around my neighborhood and they love eating all the flowers I plant around the yard. i have put up a fence made of chicken wire around one of my flower gardens but I also have nice Wave petunia plants scattered around where fencing wont really look good. Last year I tried spraying scorpion hot sauce on the plants and it did work great at stopping the rabbits from devouring them, they would still nibble but the hot sauce must get to them quick and they leave the plant alone. I would have to spray the plants often as they grew and especially after it rained . It was getting expensive going thru so much hot sauce even when I mixed it with water. There must be dozens of them running around and im seeing small babies all the time so they are reproducing like crazy. I like rabbits and think they are nice to see, I just dont want my flowers ruined.I tried a ready to spray 32oz bottle of this stuff and it does seem to keep the rabbits away. Since I have been using it I have only noticed 1 flower bud half eaten. Unfortunately this spray does seem to damage the petunias, the leaves and flowers seemed to discolor or burn when sprayed directly on them. Now I just spray the surrounding area and it seems to work also.I went thru the 32oz ready to spray bottle so I just bought the 40oz concentrate which seems like a much better deal. using it per the directions the 40oz bottle of concentrate will make over 12 of the 32oz spray bottles. That comes out to around $2.50/32oz bottle. The only thing is the concentrate smells very bad, I find it disgusting and have to hold my breath when mixing it.

"Smells Like Death, But Works Like Magic!"
Okay, let’s be real—the smell of this stuff is atrocious. It’s badder than bad, it’s VERY bad. It’s like the kind of smell that makes you question your life choices, but you know what? It works. The deer in my neighborhood have clearly had a buffet on my garden every night since the pandemic hit. But now? Not so much.I have a fence in the back, but not in the front, so I’m using this on my very stinky garden. My tip? Apply it before you take a bath or shower, because you’ll need a full cleansing afterward to get that "deer deterrent" aroma off of you. Also, reapply if it rains—those deer are persistent, but I’m more persistent!I’m on a mission to make my garden the least desirable all-you-can-eat buffet in the neighborhood. The deer will NOT be making any reservations here. I’ll be using this stuff forever—because no deer, no matter how cute, are getting a free meal on my watch!

Helps with deer. Sprayer sometimes unreliable.
Bought this 5 times. It seems to help with the deer, but the included sprayer has been a source of problems. We sometimes end up decanting the foul smelling liquid into other higher quality spray bottles to use it, which is a messy job. Sometimes the sprayer doesn’t attach properly or stops spraying. This time however it was my mistake. I forgot you have to pull the dispensing hose out of the sprayer handle and the result was that the sprayer jammed after working for a couple of minutes. I called customer service and they very promptly offered to replace the sprayer, but then they reminded me about the hose being stored inside the sprayer handle, and once I pulled it out, it began working again. They’re sending me an extra sprayer just to have on hand since I have had problems with the sprayer over the years. Their customer support was very responsive and generous in their help.

Sprayer bottle breaks every time
This is the second time I’ve purchased this product, and both times the spray bottle broke after just one or two uses. The first time it happened, I assumed it might’ve been my fault. But now, after giving it another try years later, I realize it’s a design flaw. The problem is that the plastic housing at the top of the bottle breaks or detaches very easily, and once that happens, the product leaks everywhere when you try to use it. The smell is absolutely awful—if it gets on your hands, clothes, or garage floor, it’s extremely difficult to get rid of and makes the entire experience unpleasant. The first time this happened, I ended up throwing the entire bottle away because it was completely unusable, and it was incredibly frustrating. Even when I tried to hold the sprayer together and make it work, it still leaked everywhere. And this is not the kind of stuff you want leaking anywhere. The smell is so strong and offensive that spilling it—even in small amounts—is something you want to avoid at all costs.I bought it again, just chalking up the first bottle to whatever—but now I’m back in the same situation after using it only once or twice. The sprayer is broken again, leaking constantly. Even when it seems like it might work, it sprays incorrectly—either leaking, sputtering, or coming out in a stream instead of a spray. Now I have to contend with my only option, which is to transfer this awful-smelling liquid into another spray bottle I’ll have to buy separately. Just the thought of opening it again—and having so much of that liquid exposed to the air—is enough to make you vomit.I honestly can’t speak to whether the product actually works because I’ve never been able to apply it properly. And frankly, I’m done trying. No matter how effective it might be, the packaging is so poorly designed that I’ll never buy it again.

Smelly, but works
This is my second purchase which shows the product has been working so far! While it does have quite a smell, I generally apply after I'm done with yard work for the day and then go in and shower. By the morning, I cannot detect the smell outdoors anymore. Since I have a heavy deer presence in my yard, I sprayed every week for a month and then monthly thereafter since last season. So far, I have been able to leave the nets off my Hydrangeas without the deer eating them!! They have also left my tulips alone. With all the rain we have been having, I am going to give the plants an extra spray.
