Bought because it looked like it would be useful
I ended up putting it on a dewalt impact and it's still holding up good for me

Fantastic tool
One tool allows me to go back and forth between 1/2 in. and 3/8 in tools, no need to buy the several tools out there to do what this one tool does.

Looks well made
But, The previous one I had broke under load. Replaced since these are handy, but be careful on how much force is applied. My last one twisted off the 3/8 side in the swuares area itself (not the internal shaft). This means the steel shaft is not hardended well.

Tool will fail under the smallest amount of stress
It managed to work for about 3 months, then it broke.

Belongs in every tool box
I have used this tool with my socket sets for at least four or five years now. In fact, I just ordered the 3/8 to 1/4 version after searching for several days trying to find it. Actually, I am shocked that so few of these tools have been sold on Amazon. It is extremely handy and durable (as long as you don't try to force remove a lug nut that was over-torqued with an air impact wrench!)

Useful but fragile
This socket adapter is a great tool, if used carefully. I typically used mine with a 1/2" socket wrench and 3/8" socket to take off tire bolts for the summer/winter switcheroo. After about 20 sets of tires getting switched, the 3/8" socket nub sheared cleanly on a bolt that had been tightened well beyond the recommended torque at the factory - most bolts came off just fine, one of these caused this adapter to fail. So I would not expect this tool to work for any application beyond 100lbft of torque, at least not with the 3/8" socket nub.I learned my lesson, bought a replacement tool and a set of 1/2" sockets that should be virtually unbreakable. Thus, I no longer need this tool for tire changing, but it may find uses beyond that application.
