OK, So I live on the 17th floor and wanted a telescope to see downtown and people on the streets for the voyeur in all of us. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a fancy optics and ugly telescope. I read tons of reviews about complaints where the optics did not work or the assembly was very hard to do and many were dented. I didn't have any of those issues. My telescope arrived very well packaged in bubble wrap and foam and box was completely taped up. There was no assemble required. I opened up the tripod - adjusted the legs and was done. I then opened the lens and set it on the tripod and was done. The lens works very well for the price. I can read street signs blocks away and follow people as they walk down the street. I can see buildings miles away and the focus works well and easy to use. The brass is all very shinny with no dents. The tripod brass is also well done and shinny. I also ordered this telescope because I didn't want the chain leg support but actual metal arms to hold the legs and this telescope came just that way - no chains on the legs and metal arms are very nice and add a little flare. Overall for the price I recommend this telescope. The optics are not like an expensive rifle scope but for fun and decoration and the price - it is perfect. Everyone who walks into my apartment heads straight to the telescope to start looking around. It is a perfect piece. You don't need the double barrel for sighting - just point and look - easy to find what your looking for and second lens is not hitting you in the head. This tripod is also very tall but adjustable if you are shorter. I am 6'3" and the height is perfect.

I bough it with a bit of a concern after reading few negative comments, 1st one didn't even come as was damaged in shipment, ordered again and came very fast, outside USA.Looks amazing and functioning very good, so far. Made a big difference as centerpiece in the room and I can see clear people, cars and other objects.... can't see very far (beyond 30x) but hey you will really not require that distance.... you should no bother as distance you can see is far far away.I can strongly recommend it. Hope lasts long time.

I received this on 3/17/21. It was a birthday present that was of some emotional significance to my partner who's birthday was a few days later. I opened the box and noticed the telescope was not straight as shown in the pictures. It appeared as though the piece that you look out from was crooked. We figured it just wasnt screwed on right. So we unsrewed and attempted to screw it back on. We noticed that the threading on either the bigger piece or on the viewing piece were not matching. Due to this we were not able to view anything from it. I contacted the seller righy away where they asked for pictures, which i was unable to provide through the messaging including when attempting to through my desktop as instructed by the seller. I was told a replacement part would be sent but i have not received any message or email stating anything has been sent. Not only was i dissapointed with the lack of product review before shipment and the fact that they turned what was supposed to be a meaningful gift into another issue to deal with but also with he poor communication with the seller as i payed what i payed for this product despite there being cheaper products in hope that it was quality. Pretty dissapointed.

This is a stunning decorative telescope. I looked extensively at telescopes before selecting this one. The brass leg support mechanism adds substantially to the appearance of a high-quality, unique item. As others have noted, this is not for serious viewing. However, as a focal point and empty-corner filler in our great room, I am quite pleased. It is taller and the telescope tube is longer than many other telescopes, which was important to me. The color of the wooden legs is also a true brown, whereas many others I saw had orange-ish legs. My original telescope arrived with a dented tube, but the seller kindly sent me a replacement tube, so customer service is good also.

I’m decorating my condo bedroom. This will make a great addition. It actually works pretty well, I am able to see boats in barnegat bay which is about a mile away (measured by bicycle, probably slightly less as the crow flies).

It looks good, but it tarnishes immediately (there is no coating to protect the brass). It’s a better prop than it is a telescope. It doesn’t magnify very much.

Not bad, Just a prop, but looks cool. Pretty decent construction. I would buy it again.

This was bar far the worst product ordered to date. For the cost you would think it might have some marginal use, but if it's just a ornament fine. However the screws where falling out, or missing,, the tripod expansion mechanism was broken, the legs were lose bolts missing. You ever buy that thing from Amazon your so embarrasded you thought could be good you just threw it back in the box and threw it on the trash to avoid thinking about it?? This is that one, 30 minutes of trying to fix it and to the dumpster, delete it from my history and move on! Please for the love of all that is good avoid this product.B
