Bees are happy! We Have order multiple times from seller. Shipped next day and got it the day after even tho stated it would be delivered further out. Boxed great, no breaks and great quality boxes along with good amount of wax coating. I’ve seen where people say sloppy edges not painted but haven’t had any issues, the bees keep it very well sealed. We’re in multiple over 100-110 days of weather and even our older boxes show no weather or wear and tear for the heat. Will continue to to buy from seller as long as they keep them listed. 5 stars all the way around

It's a nice product. I ordered it pre-assembled because I didn't have the time to put it together. All the frames are nice, no cracks, and the box itself fit together nicely at the finger joints. The foundations seem to be waxed really well too. I haven't put it on my hive yet because they ended up not needing it, but when I do and if they decide they hate it, I will update my review.

Arrived in good condition--well packed works as it should.I bought a similar product from a different vendor and it arrived with broken wax because it was very poorly packed.

I'm a first year beekeeper and found myself really enjoying the hobby. I currently have two hives, a mid season installed nuc that did very well, so well that part of the hive swarmed. The captured swarm became the second colony. Assuming a successful overwinter, tey'll need additional space to grow. Hence the purchase of the Mann Lake HK200 (medium) super.The HK200 super is constructed of pine, accommodates 10 frames, preassembled, unfinished and includes 10 medium wood frames with waxed Rite-Cell foundation. If you're worried about the bees not drawing comb on the plastic foundation, don't. I purchased these earlier in the year and the bees drew them out quickly, as alluded to during the opening paragraph.The super, with all 10 frames inserted, is light enough for my 12 year old son to manage. Each corner of the super is connected using finger joints with staples strategically placed for added strength. The quality of the pine was acceptable, as no knots, fractures, cracks or off putting smells were observed. With that being said, I did notice inconsistent spacing between some of the finger joints. While minimal, this could allow water to enter the joints and compromise their structural integrity over time. Nevertheless, the solution was an easy one, we simply used a bit of wood filling putty, sanded it down and gave the super three coats of a white satin exterior paint. Yeah I know, three coats may be overkill but hey, my son and I shared quality bonding time and the super turned out great.Overall I'm pleased with the purchase. The fact that the super was readily available, preassembled, included frames and foundation and reasonably priced made it an easier buy for this hunting, fishing, soap making, canning, photographing, too many irons in the fire beekeeper. Hopefully we'll get many years of use from it.

This is a handy item to have when you need to add an extra box or honey super to a colony. The box is painted and ready to go and the frames are too; I added an extra coat of beeswax to the foundation to help the bees out and placed it on one of my hives. The bees have taken to it and are drawing comb on it. I received this item quickly and I liked that it was essentially ready to use. Very handy to have when you quickly need an extra box for ventilation, expanding the brood nest and/or for honey production!

I had ordered these last year and they had a nice layer of wax on them. For the beginner bee keeper, that wax layer makes all the difference! The ones I ordered this year had less wax on them. I put my own wax on, but was disappointed. Also, if you squirt sugar water on the frames, it helps get the bees interested. I think the next frames I get will just be the hire on the hollow frames. Bees work the best with these kinds of frames.
