Halo: Escalation Volume 1 Paperback – Bargain Price, October 21, 2014

Would like to see these in a full novel. Art work is good at the end. But throughout not so great.

I've read every Halo comic, and I have to say I was very impressed! I was fascinated by this new story of the Halo universe that I love so much. This is a great comic because it follows major plot lines, major characters, and well known locations. The artwork, although great in many areas, can be kind of bland in others. The dialogue is very interesting though. Throughout this story, you get the feel as though it could have been made into a video game. Master Chief makes great appearances, and at this point in the Halo universe, his presence is what is going to sell copies. I'm glad I was able to read this. I will keep this and share my Halo knowledge with my kids someday! I am literally in our delivery room right now. Induction is a long process and Amazon reviews pass the time! Don't judge!

I had been out of the loop from the Halo scene for quite a while, but when I head that a new comic had been released continuing on the epic story left off by Halo 4, I needed to see it for myself. I came in with no pre-conceived biases, but came out more than pleased. This story continues to capture the same cinematic tone that 343 revived in the Halo saga, and had me pleasantly surprised with its both gripping and subtle complexity. This comic series provided me with a much needed relief on my craving for the journey of Halo to be continued, and I daresay it is required reading for any true Halo fans.

I like reading comic books (graphic novels) but after reading all the halo books, I think I would like a good book instead. Reading this made me questions all what happened in between that a book can describe but a comic book has just a few descriptions. Graphic wise was great.

I've somehow managed to never read a single comic book before (I have read one manga in my entire life) but I picked this up just because I'm a Halo fan and I really enjoyed it!

i only bought this because i am a huge halo fan, but i was presently surprised by the amazing story and rich pictures, there were points in the story that had me in awe. the story clears up a lot about what happened to chief after the events of halo 4.

Definitely for halo fans..This series deeply explains the other side of halo and what's going on outside of chiefs life as well as his journeys as well. If only the games branched off and did the same.My only dislike is that the comics are longer like 200 pages or so

These latest comic series involving the Halo story is well done, good artwork, the story lines so far are good. Though one of the stories are more questionable seemed like the ending of Halo 4 was taken away a bit even though it was a contination.

There was little to indicate the was a comic I thought I was purchasing a propper novel and feel some what cheated to find it to be a comic, in future Amazon please make very clear or offer a sample view as this was sold as described as a book not a commic, effectively misleading me to think it a proper novel. Not happy.

Decent start to Halo's first ongoing Comic Series. For those interested in the series, it gets progressively better, with Volume two being extremely exciting, so if you are on the sidelines, I'd say give it a try!

Provides a good story to the background of admiral hood and the afterword of the ship spirit of fire towards the end. It shows an exciting storyline and a good read. Note, if you do not like graphic novels, then this is probably not a good book for you. 10 out of 10

While I would have preferred a book rather than a comic, this still remains a must have. Personally thought the graphics could have been better and the price was too high.

A very solid addition to the Halo universe and it's ever expanding story. Very much looking forward to reading this for hopefully many volumes in the future. Recommended for anyone who likes a good sci-fi graphic novel and/or any hard core halo fans like myself.
