SRAM GX Eagle Dub Boost Group Set

The quality is stellar and I have enough torque to climb up anywhere with 1 shifter now. I have an older bike with a 2x9 gear set. I wanted to upgrade this bike to a 1x12 and looked at 520% gear range with the Eagle GX. I knew this made it the right choice. I did order a new freewheel hub and bottom bracket to go with it that I made this job a piece of cake. I was able to use my pre-existing cable housing. I adjusted the hight limit screw and cycled up through my gears Slowly advancing up and down every gear shift was clean and smooth perfect. Than followed the procedure at second lowest gear. At this point I used the sram B screw adjustment guide tool that came with the kit for chain gap. I’ve never had it so simple on this adjustment. Then adjusted the low limit screw and cycled up and down through all the gears many times with no issues. My first test ride a short 4 miles after completing the job I needed no adjustments all shifts were flaw less. I’m not a bike mechanic. I bought all the tools I needed through amazon and was a lot cheaper than the bike shops I called for prices on the job. The gratification I felt from riding the bike after the conversion was completed was amazing.

I replaced my original drive train on my '18 Santa Cruz 5010 with this about 3 years ago. This has served me well on my local Indiana single track, the Utah desert, Sedona, Texas, Michigan, West Virginia, and more. I have only had to make adjustments when I've broken and replaced derailleur hangers or cables. It shifts smoothly every time, even under great strain. While properly adjusted, ive never dropped a chain, even with massive drops and jumps. I've been very pleased with this groupset.

Doesn't get much better than this for the price. Nice and crisp shifts, very durable. You will need to order the jagwire cable housing to install on your bike.

The price differential below the X01 group set is far too big to justify the hardly any weight savings. You might get a slightly better shifter with X01, but the GX unit is still excellent. You'll save way more weight going from NX to GX and if you have an XD driver on your hub, the "nearly twice as heavy" NX cassette won't work anyway.

Great product. For my gravel set up I may get a bigger front chainring for a higher top end. Just remember if you are purchasing this and already have the sram XD driver, you will also need the XD end caps or that ish won’t roll.

Great upgrade group set for your SRAM 1x12 drivetrain

Es mucho mejor de lo que esperaba!! Funciona de maravilla, cada uno de las velocidades las cambia al contacto con el shifter y los materiales de construcción, tanto del desviador, el cassette, la cadena y las bielas son muy resistentes. Aunque el precio es elevado la compra vale la pena por el producto. Solo un punto malo es la compatibilidad del cassette con otros body, ya que para poder usarlo necesitas uno tipo XD para poder usarlo, fuera de todo eso es un groupset fenomenal, lo recomiendo al 100%.

Me encantó el desempeño de esta transmisión. Solo hay que asegurarse de las medidas del cuadro de la bicicleta para Boost y Non-boost, además de tener el body XD instalado. 10/10
