Handy, I bought the whole set
Cards are laminated and durable considering there's never a need to shuffle the deck. We like to put the ready spells out with beads near them representing the spell level we can cast. Remove the beads when you cast a spell. use different color beads for each spell level to minimize confusion.Very handy compared to digging through the PHB over and over.

A great addition to any DnD campaign
A fair price for some well made cards. A great addition to any DnD campaign. These have made choosing spells so much easier.

Aaaalmost standalone, still great!
I LOVE these cards, I really do. I've spend decades with players pawing back and forth through rulebooks, or scribbling down their spells. These cards avoid that. Instead, a player can just draw the cards their character has prepared, and lay them out. They have all the info you need from the spell entry in the rulebook, too, so there's no pawing back and forth through some thick book trying to find some detail... No! None of that silliness! Just look at the card, man! It's great, it's no longer some academic concept of "OK I have this, this, and this ability." You physically HAVE this magic spell. In your hand. Right now. You can literally cast it across the table (calm down, Jack Chick fans, it's just a piece of cardboard) if you wanted. Believe it or not, that tactile sensation makes a really big difference. For one, it's really fun to have a THING to physically handle. Second, it helps new players to understand how these things all work. The physicality helps define the thing in their head. That probably makes more sense to me than to you... just trust me.So on to the build quality. These cards are very solid, like high-quality poker cards, though a little bit shorter. They are not thin and cheap--they are about 0.5mm per card, maybe a touch thicker. They are laminated, glossy on both sides, very smooth and feel sturdy to the touch. The cards stick together when you first get the deck, but rifling through the deck a few times should relieve that. (This is why some poker cards are textured on one or both sides, but I'm glad these aren't... smooth feels better to me.)It's got all the info you need from a spell: Name, school, level, casting time, range, components, duration, description, and even the "at higher levels" section. They have the class and level on both sides, with the class represented by lovely representative artwork on the back. There is one downside, though: These cards are not complete. See, the Paladin Class splits off in 3 directions, called "Oaths," and each Oath gets some extra spells. Some of these extra spells aren't in the stock list of spells available to all Paladins (eg Oath of Vengeance gets Bane, which is harmful, and harming magic is something unique to that Oath). These bonus spells are NOT in this deck, so I'm having to scavenge onesies and twosies from other decks. There is a "top-up" booster pack that let me add in the missing cards, the D&D: Spellbook Cards: Paladin Oaths (24 Cards) GF9 73912 item that has these missing spells, but it's around half the cost of this pack and only contains the spells. What, couldn't be arsed to also make cards for the powers the class and oaths give, like the name implies? Nope. It's JUST the spells that should have been in the Paladin deck to begin with. That leaves me too nonplussed to provide the last star.Even so, don't get me wrong: This is a GREAT product! Definitely worth getting if you play to play a Paladin! Just know you should probably add the Oaths cards as well.

Incredibly Useful!
While there's nothing here you wouldn't find in the Player's Handbook, these spell cards have made my gaming sessions FAR more efficient as I no longer need to flip through the back of the handbook to use one of my spells. I'd seriously consider purchasing a deck for any long-term character I'm playing. Great quality!

Somewhat Incomplete
Took awhile to receive as they were out-of-stock when I ordered it (although it didn't indicate such when I placed the order). The cards are simply designed with no frills, and this set just contains the Paladin spells, but not the bonus spells from other classes that one gets as one rises in level.

Very Convenient; Highly Recommended.
These cards are so convenient that I highly recommend them for all character classes. They help alleviate constantly having to look up spells in the Player's Hand Book or even a reference sheet. You simply just pull the cards for the spells you actually have and leave the rest in the box. It's also sometimes much easier to just hand a card to the DM and let him/her read it themselves as opposed to reading it off perhaps while role play is happening. Just make sure to get the card back from the DM. ; )

Cards are good, just wish they didn't arrive damaged.
The spell cards are really handy but when mine arrived the storage box for all the cards was split down the seam as though it was never glued so they're sitting in a plastic bag and I have to pick the ones I plan to use out of the bag every time. Not a huge inconvenience but it's one I shouldn't have to deal with.

Great and very helpful!
Well made. The box is also fine as long as you don't try to manhandle it. Not sure what people are complaining about. I only wish I would have waited to get the complete set, but I couldn't lol.
