WE LOVE DOGS Our mission: to produce beds that pass our Quality of Life Test: beds contributing to your dog’s health, happiness & wellbeing, that help your dog to live its best life. Our design keeps your dog’s joints young for longer. Pet guardians credit The Dog’s Bed orthopedic with restoring their dog’s mobility, vitality & helping them to sleep soundly. Dogs are family: our bed structure approximates the structure & support of a human orthopedic mattress. Our heat-sensitive mattress supports your dog’s skeletal system, its correct alignment & protects their delicate joints. Quality is the keystone of our brand. To meet our high-quality standards & yours, we use high-grade materials to produce our bed. Quality is verified by 2 international 3rd-party companies, experts in inspection, testing, verification & certification. Tests with all dog sizes & dogs with conditions such as hip- & elbow dysplasia & patella luxation ensure that our bed enhances dogs’ lives. With rigorous quality controls we ensure that our bed is of the highest quality & is delivered to you in perfect condition. The Dog’s Bed orthopedic is for young dogs too. Getting your dog our bed early on is an excellent preventative measure to keep their joints youthful for longer. Many breeds are predisposed to conditions such as arthritis making their senior years painful. This immobility leads to isolation & a breakdown of the human-dog bond. The Dog’s Bed orthopedic has been designed to be long-lasting. Your dog will be able to keep this bed for a long time, so we produce replacement covers at a fraction of the cost of replacing the whole bed. Easy-clean vs plush/fur covers? The easy-clean cover is for dogs who shed/drool or recovering from surgery & is easy to vacuum/wipe clean. The plush/fur cover is like a soft blanket.

XL bed for Great Dane
This is a nice dog bed. It really is a thick and soft bed. However, this bed is NOT memory foam. It is still a pretty dense foam though. We have a Great Dane and this is large enough for her and it's thick enough that she doesn't touch the floor. Not sure it's worth $110 but it's still a nice bed.**Update** This has proven to be the best dog bed we have found! We’ve had it for about 6 months now and it’s still GREAT! Our Great Dane loves this bed! We are going to buy another one for our bedroom once I can get over spending another $110 on a bed! I definitely recommend this bed!

Good bed for surgery recovery!
Purchased this bed for our dog to use after TLPO knee surgery. So far its been great. She has to stay confined for 6-8 weeks, so she is spending lots of time on it and she seems comfortable on it all day. She is a 67lb boxer/pit and she has plenty of space to stretch out on the XL. Cover is easy to put on and remove. She laid down on it as soon as we opened it and put it on the floor.

Great bed for 100lb dog!
Well Mojo loves it. Out 11 yr old boy laid right on it. Its Firm enough to make it easier for him to get up and out of but soft enough for comfort. His back legs have gotten much weaker to get up and down in the past year. Its tough for an 100lb Labradoodle!!😄 i was hesitant at 1st to pay a bit more for a bed but this one is worth it! Came rolled up but once I got all the plastic wrapper off the bed got into shape very quickly. No smell that I noticed.

Truly an orthopedic bed
I never thought I could buy an orthopedic bed for $130. I was looking for a good quality orthopedic bed for my GSP. After purchasing a few other beds, I must say this bed is the best one for my pup. I got the extra large gray with soft fabric up top, and it feels very comfy to the touch. Mya Pup is very satisfied, and her hips are well supported :)

Great bad, especially for a dog with leg or hip injuries
This bed is great! We saw at her grandparents house work on it for their puppy German Shepherd, and knew we had to get it for our football. She has a bad hip from a injury running. After she sleeps on this bed she doesn't get up stiff like she does other beds. The picture attached is a size large bad for her. She is full-grown.

Original beds not waterproof and replacement beds failed to expand. Seller refused to assist again.
I bought 2 of the 6" foam dog beds and when my dog had incontinence while taking steroids, she had an accident on the beds. The urine leaked through the "waterproof" lining and onto the memory foam bed. Given it was a few months after the purchase, Amazon was unable to assist (30 day return policy). So I contacted The Dogs Balls and at first, I received excellent customer service. The rep from the company asked for photos and sent me 2 new beds - in the question section of the bed listing, they state the bed comes with a 1 year warranty. The beds arrived and the memory foam mattress failed to expand. The rep was in disbelief. Then when the second one did the same thing, the rep even in more disbelief as this has never happened with their perfect product... She refused to honor the warranty and would not send me replacements even though the replacement beds are sent both failed and she was sent photos to prove it which I'm including in this review. I really thought what a great company when they sent the 2 replacement beds but when they said they could no longer help me after the replacement beds failed, I no longer hold the company or the product in high regard. She balked at the possibility when I mentioned maybe they had a bad batch of bed foam in a production run as if this were impossible.

Not as advertised! New foam=inferior quality! Spend your money elsewhere.
We bought this same bed in the largest size a YEAR ago, and it’s still nicer than this piece of garbage I just bought a week ago. They’ve changed the foam to a terrible product; ruining what was once a terrific dog bed. I am outraged that this cheap foam cost 200 dollars. *False advertising* to call this a 6” mattress when it’s barely over 5”, plus the corners are all smushed in and won’t regain their shape. I once recommended this to every dog owner I know; I will never recommend again. Everyone thinks the brand new bed must be the old one because it looks so deflated and sad. I wish the company would contact me, but I have little chance of that. Difficult to ship an XXXL bed back, or, believe me, it would be gone. Even the dogs prefer to lay on the old one. 😡

Not as advertised, look elsewhere.
Upon opening the package and unrolling the bed, the first thing I noticed was how cheap the outside cover was. The "plush" on the top was already coming apart, and by simply rubbing my finger against any part of it the fabric would come off, no way this would even stand up to a large dog walking on and off it. After unrolling and letting it sit for days, the bed still has a curl to it from the way it was packaged, and the memory foam won't return to the original shape. And last but not least, this 6" bed is only 4" thick (with the cover) and does not even fill out the cover (as shown in the website pictures), leaving a wrinkled mess. Incredibly disappointed at this poorly made product. Returning it ASAP. Not worth $50, let alone $140.

Great product - at the right price - and definitely fit for purpose/use
Only had the bed for 3 days and it's already having an impact on my large (44kg) Lab who was starting to suffer from hip and joint stiffness each time she was getting up out of her old bed - once up and stretched she was fine, but those first few moments, well you could tell it was stressing her out.The Dog's Bed is really sturdy. The 15cm foam does take about 3 hours to fully expand once you have unrolled it from its packing (just like when you buy a memory foam mattress from IKEA that comes rolled up and compressed) so don't let your dog 🐶 get on it yet - keep it out of sight.Yes, it does make you think the mattress cover is too big for the mattress when compressed but give it time. Ours is the full 15cm (9cm when first unrolled).Sophie loves the plush top and was straight on it. As I said previously, she is a big dog and I was worried the foam might sink down too much. Not a chance. This thing is just like a Tempur. So back to the reason for purchasing. In just three days Sophie's painful routine of struggling to get up (and the embarrassment in her eyes) has noticeably diminished. She's not racing out of the bed, but she is up'n'at-em fairly quickly and only mildly limping for a few steps. So glad we purchased this bed. Unfortunately, my other 3 dogs now want one!

Kodi's new bed is far BETTER than mine...BUT he's worth it
my beautiful white German shepherd is now 9yrs old although thinks hes still a puppy. Initially we thought he had hip dysplasia but rapidly suspected a much worse condition called degenerative myelopathy which is like Multiple Sclerosis in dogs. We suspected this fairly quickly as my husband has M.S himself and the symptoms were very close to his condition. Currently we take him for hydro therapy and seeing a specialist vet to try stem cell treatment. This new bed was purchased to help alleviate the awful discomfort and difficulties he experiences and the vet believes the bed has enabled him to rest/sleep more comfortably and Kodi absolutely ADORES his bed. It is MUCH deeper and comfortable than his previous bed ( which he refuses to now sleep on) and doesn't sag or become lumpy. This bed was seriously worth the cost and I would recommend the red kite store and this item. Degenerative Myelopathy disables dogs who also become incontinent from the bladder and bowel so being able to remove the cover is essential and also purchase a 2nd cover (and waterproof) if wanted. Six months after diagnosis our brave boy is far less affected than he should be and seriously believe that his bed along with hydro treatments etc is contributing to helping slow the progress of this awful condition.

Not practical for older dogs
Bought this bed for my elderly Golden Retriever whom has arthritis, as the description described its suitability for dogs with this condition. When the bed arrived it looked good and was comfortable but was far too high for a dog with arthritis in her back legs to get onto or off herself as it is practically the height of a step and therefore is no use to her. It is great in theory but not practical in the slightest. Obviously the product has not been designed or tested to suit dogs whom have joint problems contrary to the product description. Received a generic email from the company asking what we thought of the bed, to which we expressed our dissatisfaction with the product - yet to receive a response.

Excellent choice for a wonderful dog
very good product, well packed and it did arrive earlier than predicted.Max our Labrador who has been used to a memory foam bed,is totally at home with his new bed.it is better quality than his past which started to hollow in the middle, but his new one is firmer and deeper and has a superior cover.also having also an inner waterproof cover prevents the memory foam sweating through the dog,s body heat..In all a good choice

Great bed, worth the money!
Although not cheap, this bed is worth the money. Our 2 year old, 50kg Bulgarian Shepherd dog who we rescued from the streets as a small puppy, suffers from hip dysplasia and arthritis in both his rear knees, so we needed something special. Delivery out to Bulgaria was efficient and actually arrived ahead of schedule. The bed is great quality and ‘Spud’ sleeps like a log on it.
