I bought this to replace my mother’s Singer touch and Sew that she gave me years ago. It was hers in high school! Wonderful machine to learn on but I was ready for my own. It was a headache looking through all the different machines and reviews but I finally settled on this one and I’m so glad I did! I’ve been using it for over a month now. It works great, it’s easy to use, I love that I can just pick a stitch instead of having to insert a stitch disc like the dinosaur I had been using and something so small like the machine threader has made me really appreciate my decision for finally upgrading.I’m not a pro but I’m not an amateur and I find this machine to be perfect for me!

This is my first sewing machine. There are so many stitching options but I’ve just stuck to the first stitch since I’m a beginner. It took me about 15 minutes to understand the set up but the instructions were super clear and there is a lot online. I’ve only used the lowest speed and played around with the others but the lowest one is perfect for a starter and it can get pretty quick for anyone who prefers that. It’s really quiet although I don’t have much to compare it to. Best sewing machine, super simple, easy to learn and it is very smooth. It is plastic but I think it will be sturdy if well maintained. Definitely worth the investment.

This machine exceeded my expectations. I own a 40 year old Pfaff that is showing its age. I decided to see what a newer machine could do, and wow! I have made several things with this machine and it has preformed beautifully. It came with lots of accessories. I tested many of the stitches, and all worked beautifully. I should have purchased this sooner. I like that it's not as heavy as my old Pfaff. I paid twice the amount for my old Pfaff...all I hope is that this Brother sewing machine is durable and lasts me many years.

Bought this for my granddaughter to learn how to sew and grow in her skills of sewing. She LOVES this machine and so far it has worked perfectly. Easy to use from the moment you remove from the box. I would recommend reading the manual as there are just a couple steps that are unique to this exact machine. Simple instructions, sewing beautifully, great value for the price. This could easily be taken on trips etc as it is easy to move around if needed. Would recommend especially if needing a second straight forward machine or for beginner to mid-level sewer. I was presently surprised with this beauty!

I am loving this machine. I am not a person who can sew - mostly anything. I used an old machine that never worked properly. Always had to putz with tension, threading it, getting the stitch correct - bad news. My husband finally told me to get a new machine - so, with his help in ordering, I got a new Brother. I was blown away when I started to use it.Don't have to thread needle, very simple to set up thread for sewing. Picking the stitch I wanted by just pressing a number. Changing the needle to use for each stitch - how neat is that! I no longer dread having to sew things - now I look for projects.

Great machine at a great price! I wanted to start sewing again after not doing it for about 10 years, and this is so easy to use. I think it’s perfect for a beginner who wants to actually sew a lot. Lots of YouTube videos are available if you need help with anything!
