Excellent treatise for contemplation
A concise review of the broad Church history and considerstions for compelling reference to our Church Fathers and the Theologisns when considering topicsvof faith and morals. A practice seemingly missing from many scholars and prelates today.

Short but solid discourse on the Fathers and Theologians in the life of the Catholic Church
This is a very short book. You can easily read it in one or two sittings. In addition, it is easy to read, not heavy in theological concepts or philosophy, as some of these books can be. Having said that, it is still, in my view, very much worth reading. Father Ripperger does a great job going over the weight in the life of the Church that the Church Fathers and the Theologians (capital T) are supposed to be given. In so doing, he shows a couple of examples by popular Catholic apologists who misunderstand the Church's teaching on the matter.Highly recommended.

Short, sweet and excellent
Father Ripperger gives a very concise introduction to tradition including an essential discussion of the import and definition of the fathers of the church and the Theologians as a group from 1100 to the 1700s. I would highly recommend it and I'm considering using it as a study in the parish to which I am assigned as a deacon.

Dense but Precise
Very much like Fr. Ripperger's in person presentations, this is densely packed with information considering its brief length but utterly precise in all its formulations.

Educational
Found the book very educational, learned what the clear definition of a Theologian is from a source I trust.

Catholics, read it.
Fr Chad Ripperger made a great asset, again.

Informative and important
I have been aware of Fr. Chad Ripperger for some time now. His homilies and lectures are frequently posted onto YouTube; these are always of the highest quality, intellectually and rhetorically speaking. Fr. Ripperger is of a rare sort: his intelligence is a blessing to all who (with open minds) are exposed to it. This short pamphlet is my first time reading any of his writings, and I am happy to say it has “Fr. Ripperger” stamped all over it. That is, the precision of the author’s analyses and conclusions are almost like a breath of fresh air, intellectually speaking. I wish I had a dozen copies of this pamphlet to leave at my parish book-shelf!

Simple explanation of a little known yet extremely important topic.
Fr. Ripperger explains how the Church actually understands the infallibility of both the Church Fathers and the Theologians of the second millennium. For a Catholic, it is very important to get this right, because it provides us with a sure rule of faith and a safeguard against erroneous beliefs. This book is written in a very simple and understandable style, so that everyone can understand it. Highly recommend it!
