Ultra Probe 2 (PUP2)

Exceptionally well built for this price point. All functions work as expected. Would certainly order again.

As a professional automotive electrical specialist I can appreciate a well designed and made tool when I see one. This is a very well made testing device. It does not have all of the bells and whistles of the newer devides like it, but is exactly like the original device made many years ago. About 15 years ago I purchases one of these types of tools and made a living using it. I still have that original, it is that useful although it shows its age. So when this no frills tool was available I grabbed one. It will measure the presents of a positive and negative voltage in a circuit. It also allows one to insert either a positive voltage signal or negative voltage signal. It also has a ground strap for tests where needed. By doing this one can activate various devices on the vehicle in order to make active tests. There really is no need for all of the bells and whistles on the more expensive tools. If you know what you are doing, this and a volt/ohm meter will do just about everything that you need. Barring computer related work which has totally different needs and knowledge requirements.Included is the tool which has a green/red LED lamp to indicate positive or negative presence. A ground lead and about 15 feet of lead with a red and a black clamp for connection to the battery. Been using mine for about a month now and it has yet to miss a beat..

Super cheap, very basic straight forward and reliable tool, at the same time I bought a much more expensive probe and personally I just like this one better because it has a good long set of leads and it doesn't have a bunch of buttons and settings to get bumped when I am deep in my projects and it light's up bright enough to tell what you are doing even in the most cramped of spaces

Had for a while now. Ended up buying about 5 more and giving them to family and friends that asked about it as presents. All 6 are holding up find and mine is used in a shop with people that dont care about their tools none the less anyone else's

Pretty good works fine highly recommend this tool and for the price not bad!

a poor mans power probe? I use it to check fuses and power up starters, works great a terrific value!
