Great Value Pack!
First off, for the price the quality cannot be beat! I bought this to replace my ATACS-FG Condor Tactical Expedition pack, which is 67L, which is twice the cost. It is hard to downsize from a 65L+ pack to a 48L pack, but think this smaller pack will work better for me in the long run. I bought this thinking I can add-on pouches to increase capacity to 65L range as needed. The MOLLE layout on this gives a lot of freedom for different configurations.Pros-Good external materials, plenty of MOLLE straps, high quality zippers and openly-molded pulls. Should be able to add extra pouches to bring total volume up to 65L or more. Great design of full-open clamshell, makes it easy to get things in and out. Decent interior materials, very light weight (but standard) nylon panels, good quality mesh organization sections. Semi-rigid, internal panel offers some load support.Cons-Non-padded waist strap, no bottom MOLLE, rear MOLLE spacing: loses 1 MOLLE width by only having half-width MOLLE spacing at the sides. This means there is a MOLLE attachment in the direct center of the pack, which may not hinder some users, but the extreme outer MOLLE is useless except for inserting a small knife, penlight, or grimlocks in them. Surface of pack towards your back is not vented or padded, may limit overall load capacity. Top zipper opens into main compartment (would rather see small pouch there). No internal organizational straps/bungees.I have only used this for a 5-day trip so far, had it loaded to about 20lb only. It was comfortable to wear, and took up little space compared to what was packed inside. Compression straps are nice for keeping everything tight and small. I did not hike long distance (2+ miles) with this, but am sure the waist strap will help, even if not padded. Chest strap is wonderful. I did not utilize the hydration capabilities. Only time and use will tell if the interior nylon panels will hold up or if the stitching will fail as many are prone to do.If this is your first forray into a tactical style pack, I don't think you can go wrong with this Hank's Surplus pack. There is plenty of MOLLE to configure this for whatever your mission dictates. It may be too be for school use.UPDATE: 27FEB17Took this on a 3-day hike, loaded out to 32.8lb with external pouches. I had loaded: 1 full change of camo clothes, hammock, rainfly, straps, woobie, 14" machete, 40oz Kleen Kanteen with cooking cup, MSR stove and fuel, IFAK, personal hygiene pack, food, other misc items. Shoulder straps were not very comfortable at this load. Waist strap provided marginal relief. Know your load, and probably try to stay under 28lb. Still a great pack with no stitch, zipper, or seam failures.

Great pack. So far its holding up
Arrived quick(1star). Pack looks fantastic, Plenty of room(1star). Zippers are excelent quality, material feels and looks very durable(1star). Lots of molle for add-ons(1star). I loaded it up with my EDC gear and it held the weight fine(1star). Now im Taking it on a road trip and its packed full. The seams on the shoulder straps are starting to separate(-1star). Ill keep an eye on them. Ive had alot of packs and im not carrying more weight than normal for me. Ive only had it one week. TBC....Shoulder straps could be wider to help spread the weight on my shoulders.Took it on a hiking trip. I am very pleased with how it held up. Im going to modify the shoulder straps to make them wider. The seams on the staps had me worried. But the held up just fine. Even with excessive weight.1star

medium duty pack
at first i gave this a bad review. stitching came apart at compression strap and shoulder straps needed through/connecting straps added. so it needed a little work. now it has become my favorite backpack. the zippers the water bladder setup/features. its just really cool. not really ready for use on deployment but great hiking backpacking or school.

This thing is the MOABackPacks! It’s a TANK
Purchased this bag to replace a suitcase when traveling. It is a HUGE pack and I can roll and stuff like 4 pairs of jeans, 4 pairs of shorts, 20 t-shirts, and like two weeks worth of socks and boxers in this thing along with a laptop, large iPad, and a shower kit. PLUS a ton of smaller things that I may need and still have tons of room to add things I may want to bring back home. It is well made and even when fully loaded the straps are still super comfortable on the shoulders. It really is the ultimate expedition pack for not a lot of dough. I’ve taken this pack on planes, boats and off roading and it has held up. Anchorage to San Diego to Phoenix to Albuquerque to Houston to Nashville to Atlanta to Key west to Miami to New Providence, Bahamas, to San Juan and port royal and this pack is still going with no issues. Get you one!

Can't beat as long as price stays near the $80 range!
Definitely impressed with the quality of this day pack for the price! Heavyweight fabric, good stitchings, heavy duty zippers with pull tabs, decent padding where needed, though not super thick shoulder pads, water resistant lining, all and all a solid day pack. Most impressively to me on this one though is the A-TACS FG pattern. Awesome pattern and great colors. Ideal for my east TN location in spring and summer. Much greener than MultiCam and classic Woodlands, and also softer pattern than woodland MARPAT. Love my USMC MARPAT but A-TACS FG is now my go to pattern for said seasons. Highly effective in lush woodland environments thanks to its lack of black. Can't speak on the other colors/patterns Hank's Surplus offers but I'd imagine they are excellent as well. I'd put this whole pack on par with the quality of my circa 2009 USMC issued (and returned at the end of my service unfortunately) 3 day assault pack. Fast shipping like always with Prime.. The Hank's Surplus Molle Day Pack was worth every bit of my $80!

this is a very good pack, it gets compliments on it all the time, the last one to compliment it was a firefighter in the Albertsons parking lot and I have had this since 2015, this has held up as good as ever.

Awesome pack
This is my second pack from Hank's Surplus. Can't say enough, just awesome! Was looking for 3 day pack for longer trips and this does the job. Construction is solid. MultiCam is great. Fits perfect in overhead compartment if needed. Love the zipper mesh pockets in both compartments. Like the day pack this holds my 100oz Camelbak reservoir. Top zipper is great for quick access to main compartment. 500D CORDURA is super strong. If you know much about backpacks YKK zippers are the best in the backpack world, this pack got them. ITW snaps buckles are awesome, no worries of them breaking! Again would recommend pack to anyone!
