Lightweight, but sturdy and sharp
This 8" chef's knife is a budget version of their top tier offerings. The savings are in the handle which is a non-riveted molded synthetic material. It is comfortable and great for medium to small hands. Zwilling did not skimp on the metal, it is a high-quality German steel. This is a quality knife! Right out of the box, I used it to prepare the vegetables for an American goulash. It slices with ease. It is razor sharp out of the box. This is a light knife while not feeing flimsy in any way. In fact, it feels solid. If you are looking for a low-cost professional quality chef knife, this will do the job. It is a renaissance for chef's tools these days. There are many good knives in this price range. I believe that this one is in that top tier.

Great Chef Knife
I really like the edge, balance and comfort of handle. It slices through potatoes quite easily and everything else I have sliced with it. I purchased it because I had never owned a Henckels knife before and wanted to try this one because of the comfortable looking handle. I was not disappointed. Nice knife and I would recommend if the price doesn't get too high.

Perfect size, balance, and always sharp
I have had a set of eight Heckles Four Star knives for over 35 years. My original set did not have a smaller chef’s knife, so I bought a Henkels sankotu to fill the gap years ago. Unfortunately, the sankotu just never seemed right. So, I finally broke down and bought this knife. I should have bought it years ago. This knife is masterful. I love the weight and balance. It holds an edge very well, and it does everything I need it to do. It’s the perfect addition to my professional kitchen tool set.

Best Chef's Knife in this Price Range...Ideal for small hands!
I bought this knife to replace a Wusthof Chef's knife (around $130) which I left behind in a church kitchen. I subsequently retrieved my Wusthof, but now--with the two side by side in my drawer-- I find that the Henkel is my go-to knife! What I like best is the lightweight handle, combined with a balance which is a joy to use. I have small hands and for me it is ideal! It fits right in my hand and feels perfect while chopping. The handle is not as pretty as the Wusthof ones--black with silver rivets looks better to me--but functionally, I prefer this one. It's also sharper than I remember the Wusthof ever being, even when new. It's razor sharp, to the point where I cut myself while cleaning by carelessly grazing my finger on the blade...I just didn't expect it to be that sharp. On the price, I bought a month ago and paid $71. The price is now up to $100, and lists the standard price as $125. This knife is definitely worth $125 but if you are budget conscious it may pay to wait a while as it seems the prices fluctuate quite a bit.
