I think it's made to be a snug fit
Great shirt my son loves it I ordered an extra large and it's tight around his arms and shoulders so I would say if you are normally an extra large or on the larger side of extra large it will be pretty tight because he can still wear large shirts and he is 16 220 6 ft 3". We just moved him up to extra larges and this one definitely has no growing room. But I'm pretty sure it's made to fit that way as that is the style to wear shirts a little tight so I'm not faulting the size
