Full of dark rooms and on the rustic side
Not a horrible book - but most of the rooms are painted very dark and the palette is blacks, whites, and browns through the entire book. The first part of the book shows photos from the featured homes that are all shown in the second part of the book as well. Finally, the decor tended to artfully arranged clutter bugs (an example is seen on the back cover). So this book is very yin, somewhat oppresive in total. So if this is what you are looking for then this would be an excellent book for that type of look. It was well-photographed and I thought a lot of the photos were interesting and there were ideas that could be translated into a light bright colorful home. I don’t regret adding it to my library, but if I had looked through it in a bookstore I probably would have put it back on the shelf as it was not that much in sync with my taste.

Beautiful but on the smaller size
It’s a beautiful book. I just feel like it wasn’t the statement piece I was wanting because of the size. If it was a bit larger it would be so much better. It’s rather small sitting on the standard sized coffee table. Beautiful photos and styling though

Too much dark designed rooms.

Recently moved into a house and this book gave me so many wonderful ideas! Also loved the writing style as made you feel like you were sitting in the rooms with a cup of coffee!

Beautifully Inspiring
This book is gorgeous. The photography is so excellent that you can get the feel of each area/room including colors, textures, moods. The text is very conversational. I like to take time to sit down and look through as many pages at a time as I can, soaking up the inspiration! Love it.

Some very unique decorating ideas.
It’s personal preference. My daughter bought a new home and I liked the coziness of the photos displayed in this book. I gave the book as a gift. The photos are not department store photos. There really isn’t a “everything matches look”. As your eyes move about the photos every position and location presents a different reaction. Again, it’s a personal preference.

Boring, drab, mostly English interiors
Boring, boring, boring. Drab grays and beige. Misleading title.

Love this book 100%
I love everything about this book. There are plenty of photos that show not only the design and how it looks in each room but they also have a variety of homes so you get a good range of different designs in the same style family. One of the better books I’ve bought for this style.

For Anyone Who Loves Interiors Inspiration
This book is indeed for the soul, it's calming and reviving, the photograhy beautiful and the content definitely relating to our lives right now and in to the future. It is a great escape. I would really recommend this book to anyone who loves inpiring interiors, not just to see other peoples' amazing homes but to feel good about their own and how to add those details that will make it more personal. I especially love the idea of using and keeping cherished items and not thinking everything has to be new, it really doesn't. Seems obvious really but this is a great way to understand how..

Lovely read - red binder
Lovely book with great content. If you’re thinking of displaying this book on a coffee table, it’s worth mentioning that the binder is bright red and not the neutral tones on the front of the book. Nonetheless it’s a lovely read!
