A less rough ride.
The Thudbuster seatpost fitted fairly easily, once I'd worked out the slightly fiddly attachment to the saddle rails. After spinal injury and surgery I wanted to do what I could, without resorting to a bike with suspension, to reduce the road shocks from the rough surfaces common onthe lanes and tracks in my part of Corwall .The Thudbuster has made a significant reduction to the amount of jarring coming up through the saddle, and longer rides have therefore become less tiring.I have not noticed any negative interference with pedalling efficiency.Due to its elastomer design, which is easily tuned for riders of different weights, the Thudbuster is unlikely to be described as a thing of aesthetic beauty, but its form follows its function, and that function is being, for this rider at least, beneficial and much appreciated.I am pleased to have the Thudbuster on my aluminium framed bike, and feel that the money for it was well spent.

Somewhat disappointed.
Overall I am somewhat disappointed with the Thudbuster G4 ST. The first issue was that although the description states is suitable for a rider over 120kg it fails to tell you this and then you are left trying to obtain the elastomer at extra cost. During my second ride the elastomer fell out at some point and was lost, I believe that this is possibly due to a design error as during subsequent rides I have found 2 elastomers on the roadside (unfortunately not the one I lost). I have jury rigged a method of ensuring that if it comes out again it is not lost. I am unimpressed with the ride comfort which seems no better than my previous cheap suspension post. Overall disappointed , would not buy again or recommend.

Adequate but overpriced, bigger tyres better option
Bought for a cyclo-cross bike and tested both on and off road (grass, dirt, gravel, potholes). I weigh 87kg but found the soft insert to be better suited than both the medium and hard. With the soft insert I felt no peddle bobbing, the shock absorbing ability was adequate but not as good as say swapping my 33c tyres for chunky mountain bike tyres. Overall it does what I need it to do, and for a cyclo-cross bike chunkier tyres aren't an option, that said think it is very over priced - if your bike allows it just get bigger tyres, my mountain king tyres on my hard tail mountain bike absorbes shock better than this.

Does what is says
As an elderly cyclist I found I was suffering a great deal of pain in my coccyx despite having a broad soft saddle. I could not afford a swing arm suspension system so Thudbuster seemed the best option. It worked

Just the most awesome thing! - like riding on air, and brilliantly engineered.
It works incredibly well.
