solid product
I've had this for 2 years now and used it as my primary sump pump. Getting the float set right was a bit of a pain, but I know I'm not using it exactly for what it is designed for. It has had to run well beyond what it was designed for. While I've had issues once or twice with it, that had more to do with not putting a screen on the bottom and letting it pull dirt/rocks/etc into it and caused my own headaches. I've recently had issues where it starts up slow as well, but cycle it 2 or 3 times and then starts working fine again. Probably just need to pull it apart and clean the inlet! Well worth it for me and would buy again if I needed another one.

Good inexpensive pump that really moves water.
For the price, these are good pumps. They won't last in continuous duty for weeks at a time, this is my 2nd one because the first one started making loud noises so I assume bearings are going out, but the float switch is reliable, and they can pump a lot of water. A note to say you need to add a check valve to prevent back flow after it shuts off and you need to tilt them on their side to get the pump chamber filled with water before they pump as the inlet on the bottom is like putting a cup upside down in the water, the air can't escape. This doesn't seem to be a problem if it runs out of water while pumping and when water rises again it seems to pump fine, just after the dry pump is placed in the water. Maybe a small bleed hole drilled in the side might help. I have mine pushing water from a sump uphill 6' through 50' of 1 1/2" corrugated hose and it works well. I also use 2" vinyl swimming pool hose and pump water 150'

used in a 5gal bucket in oregon
Just a heads up folks, this will air lock so drill the weep hole. I was able to air lock my pump and didnt have a weep hole. I love how quiet the pump is. I have had it in a since March 2024. so only a few months of rain but it works well. i zip tied the float to the handle so it would be auto-magical in a 5gal bucket. I also ziptied the float to the side of a the bucket through a hole and that worked as well. In case any is trying to be cheap or this "the way it was" in your location. I would say grab a wayne if you want reliable and better built but this is my backup. Just thought i would pass on my weep hole and zip solution(s) to those that are interested.*Update 11/2024 pump starting to fail. Didn’t last very long. Pay for a reliable one

Quick delivery, quick setup and quick pump........
Only had one use so far, but my old pump died after a decade of use so had to purchase this one. It arrived in one day and because of low cost, I had doubts. Plopped it on top of swimming pool (NY) so bunch of water from snow and ice, and it kicked right on and pumped it all off. Very easy and pumped fast. Worked really well and did the job. We will see about longevity but even if only last a few seasons for the cost it would be worth it.

The product was faulty!
I purchased it in March and placed it in a buried container to alleviate water from a low point in my yard. It worked great, the first rain I had, but the next time it shorted out. I checked the electrical plug and found no cuts in it. Pulled it out and plugged it up again, and it tripped the breaker again. PS. It was one month and two days old when it happened. Contacted Amazon and the Mfg with no response. I would NOT recommend this product.

Efficient suction
This pump provides the perfect amount of power to clear water from a sump or from the top of a winter pool cover prior to opening in the spring. Easy to use and high speed suction make this product a no brainer. Cleans easily and the materials are high quality.

Important to Find the Right Hose
My basement sump pump was malfunctioning, I wanted to try to empty the pit with this pump. It is extremely important to find the right hose for this pump! I had two hoses in the garage, one didn't fit and the other one I was barely able to secure to the threads. The connection was loose, but I wrapped a plastic bag around the loose connection and decided to give it a try. I SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THIS! The moment I immersed it into the pit, the hose got disconnected and a huge fountain sprayed up!! The disgusting pit water got into my eyes, my ear, my mouth, my clothes. While I was in shock, the fountain kept spraying up to the ceiling and onto everything in the basement. I managed to stop it and immediately ran upstairs to take a shower. I had to rinse my eyes with lots of clean water and irrigate my ear with a solution of distilled water and vinegar. Then there was a nasty cleanup in the basement. I was upset for the rest of the day. Later I found the right connector at Home Depot. It's just too bad that the pump doesn't have a universal hose fit.
