WD402 Strop Abrasive Powder, 1oz, White

I have used many, many different stropping compounds trying to find something that does a good job, is easy to use and doesn't glaze over my strop. This aluminum oxide powder is the easiest, fastest and does a better job that anything else I have used. Applied with a flux brush to the rough side leather of my strop gives a super sharp edge on my wood carving knives quickly and doesn't glaze over the strop. The black that appears shows it works well. Needless to say, I have a good supply of "Wood Is Good" Strop Abrasive Powder.

I use this to clean my wood burning tip with a leather strop. Works great. Does take a little elbow grease due to the fine grit.

Does what it should. Gives my carving knives a bright/sharp edge.

This compound seems to work very well to me

I bought this in hopes it would be an EASY way to clean my wire tips for my woodburner. It does clean with a lot of effort. This small bottle will last me along time. I recommend it but just remember elbow grease is involved.

This is just what I wanted. My husband just started wood crafting and needed a strop to refine the edge on his carving tools. I found out about using this "dressing" on the strop through one of his books and was pleased to find it on Amazon at a great price. This works perfectly, was priced nicely for his needs and arrived very quickly.
