FREAKING A+ FOR AWESOME!!!
"Shards of Hope" is freaking amazing!! This is not a fluff PR. The writing is complex with lots of action and romance between Aden Kai the Arrow Leader and Zaira Neve Arrow Commander. The story start off running at a fast pace with Aden and Zaire being taken hostage. There escape had me setting on the edge of my set. Nalini Singh's ability to write a intricate, complex story with lots of twist and turns and romance proves her intellectual and highly skilled ability at story telling. As we learned early on in the Psy/Changeling series Aden has some hidden, powerful Psy designation ability. Oh Baby!! Aden is very very powerful. His secret Psy designation is magnificent. Aden is perfectly matched with one of his Commanders Zaira Neve, you will fall in love with her. Zaira had abusive Psy parents and she killed them when she was only 4 yrs old. She is another powerful, strong women. Aden had saved and protected her when she was a very young Arrow trainee. Now she is mated to Aden and you better not touch or look at her man or she just might kill you!! LOL.I really enjoyed reading how Aden and Zaira along with some of our other favorite Psy are rebuilding there part of the Net starting with the children up. After the fall of Silence lots of the Psy have gone mad and Aden and his Arrows including our much beloved Judd and Vasic are helping Kaleb Krychek and his mate Sahara rebuild there world. We still don't know the full powers and Psy Designation of Sahara. I don't know how she will be able to be even more powerful then her mate/husband Kaleb and Arrow Leader Aden. The Psy/Chageling stories and all the characters continue to grow and get better with each book. Nalini Singh is Just a Brilliant author and she never lets her fans down. She weaves creative stories that will have you up all night trying to finish. Her books are novel size in lenght No light weight here.. Like I said No Fluff here.I loved learning and reading more about the Water Changelings and getting a deeper look into the Black Sea Changelings Clan and there Alpha Miane Leveque. All of our favorites an not so favorite Psy, Changelings and Humans make appearance in Shards of Hope. I love all the new children we are introduced too. Children bring a fun and happy element to any story especially when the storyline is Dark.I can't wait for the next Psy/Changeling book. I want to know more about who is heading up the New Evil, Villain "The Consortium" and all its players. How will the Newly Minted "Trinity Accord" bring them down and continue to respond to there terrorist acts?. I see some exciting stories coming in the future for the Psy/Changeling series. I Highly Recommend "Shards of Hope", it is everything fans of the series has waited for!! You won't be let down.

One of the best books inthe series - WOW
Shards of Hope is the 14th Book in the Psy/Changeling Series by Nalini Singh. This is my absolutely favorite series and I have read the entire series more than once. I have my favorite books in the series (Caressed by Ice and Heart of Obsidian) but I have to say this book joins that list. I loved this book if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. However, if you haven't read the series then it would be hard to start with this book and really understand the intricacies of the characters and world. This book builds on all the things that have happened in the series and while you would probably still enjoy it the book is so much better if you've read the series. This book centers around two arrows, Aden who is the leader of the arrows and Zaira. There isn't a gradual build in this book, the first chapter starts off with a bang as the two arrows are in a life or death situation. Most of this book is about the arrows fighting off danger as someone is targeting arrows and in particular Aden for death. Aden has never been truly silent and has always had a special place in his life for Zaira who was badly abused as a child before she was put into arrow training. There are other subplots throughout this book that are weaved in masterfully as you try to figure out who is behind all the danger and intrigue.I loved both Aden and Zaira's characters. They were written beautifully. Both fierce and loyal to each other and the arrows. They both had issues in their backgrounds that they had to work hard to overcome. Zaira was increadibly strong and I loved that she would do anything to protect Aden and vice versa. The romance was very believable and there were so many issues that a happy ending was not guaranteed. The couple struggled but always believed in each other and accepted each other for who they were. The world building in this series is awesome. Some books you want to crawl into and live in that world and this is one of those. The only bad part was that it has to end! This will be a book I go back and re-read several times. It made me laugh and cry and I couldn't put it down. I finished this book and just sat back and said "WOW!"

I love this series and this one was full of action and passion
I love this series and always enjoy returning to it. This installment had a lot going on, a lot of subplots, and a lot of characters to keep track of. I like Aden, he is one of my favorite characters that we have gotten to know throughout the previous books. He had such patience with winning over Zaira and showing her he loved her and has loved her since they were kids in the Arrow training program. Zaira had a lot of emotional baggage to deal with before she was able to see that her love of Aden and being with him was ok and safe. It took her a while to believe that he could love her and could want her, broken and flawed, with him. What I didn't like about this installment was all of the subplots. Some of the subplots made sense with the other story, others (Blake's subplot) didn't really need to happen to strengthen the story. There were times I had a difficulty wanting to pick up the book to read.I really do enjoy this series, it is one of my favorites, and I am looking forward to the next book and am happy that Aden and Zaira got their happy ever after. I loved the two scenes when he gave her the ring and at the end when she gave him a ring and opened her shields to Aden.
