Excellent aquarium light
This is an excellent aquarium light. I have mine programmed so that the blue lights slowly fade from off to full brightness in the morning. One hour later the white lights fade from off to full brightness. At night the white lights fade to off first, then the blue lights fade to off. The light fixture is adjustable, so it fits my 90 gallon saltwater aquarium perfectly. It has a low profile so it looks great.

Great functions
So this is a great light as far as functionality. I allows you to set a timer, the I intensity of the LED on different channels and even has a sunrise and sunset option. However, if you loose power, the time is reset. In my recent experience, the other configurations were not lost. Not sure why time needs reset but the rest of my configuration was good. This has great configuration options. It’s pretty customizable for the price. Make sure you read the short instructions ahead of time so you understand the codes and the button presses. The white LED is not exactly a high white. The white alone without the blue is really ugly. I always have the blue on with the white. I actually lower the white intensity a little to about 50% to give the tank a little more blue throughout the day. I did notice the white channel has some green spectrum mixed in which might cause this. The white and blue are on different channels so you can have a timer for the white and a separate timer for the blue with different intensities. My favorite part is the sun up and sun down uptown. There is a setting to turn on the lights fully, or use the sunrise-sunset option. Sunrise and sunset each are hardest to 15 minutes. My setup turns on white at 50% intensity and blue at 100% intensity late morning. The white fades off early evening for an all blue moonlight and then a couple hours later, the blue fades off to night. I would buy again at this price. I would also request the manufacturer to put brighter white LEDs for a better white color.

PERFECT LIGHT FOR PRICE
AMAZING LIGHT FOR THE PRICE!!! I am starting a new 40 Gallon tall saltwater tank and decided to try this light out and it works perfect the lights are high quality and so is the controller. I see alot of reviews talking about how the instructions suck or how hard it is to program, it maybe took me 5 minutes super easy. If you are hesitant use this review as a buy it.

Simple to install and intuitive to program
Great light spectrum. Simple to install. Programming it was similar to my house’s a/c thermostat. Just need to hold down the cog, tap until you what you need to change is blinking, then + or - until you have the time, light strength, and sunrise/set during. I love you can program the intensity of both the warm and cool light independently, but you can have them both on at the level you want at the same time. It’s making my tank look great and supporting my corals and sea creatures!

I GIVE UP! Difficult to program, limited options.
This is an update to my earlier review. I contacted Nicrew regarding the difficulty that I had programming this light. They responded within about 16 hours. Fair enough. They provided me with a video demonstrating the programming process and steps. I placed my iPhone beside the controller and followed the steps illustrated. I did this repeatedly for about an hour. I have given up. I am usually very good at programming controllers such as this, but this one is beyond me. I looked further into reviews for this device and discovered that I am not the only one who has experienced this difficulty. I am going to throw this Nicrew marine aquarium light out. I will find a store locally and replace it with another light from another supplier that is NOT NICREW! I am extremely dissatisfied. The customer service was okay, about as much as could be expected from an online seller. There’s not much they can do with an inferior product. Previous review: I have had this light for about 7 weeks. It’s difficult to program, has limited capabilities and poor instructions. I have found that I can only really operate it in manual. Unlike the claims, it does not gradually ramp up or down like it is supposed to do. In only the on position are the lights bright enough for healthy coral growth. I would NOT recommend this light for an aquarium. I will try to find an alternative.

They’re “okay”
I ordered this light in late July for my 75g aquarium, and wanted to give it some time before leaving a review. There are definitely some pro’s and con’s that wish I would have known in the beginning. Pro’s: fairly simple to setup and understand. Very budget friendly pricing. They have a very low profile, light weight, and sit super close to the aquarium creating a more pleasing look. The sun up/down feature is really nice and soothing to watch. Ultra quiet and don’t give off much heat. Honestly, these would be great for someone just getting into the hobby that doesn’t want to put a large financial investment into lighting. Cons: for a saltwater aquarium they really aren’t all that bright. At first I thought they were, had a sudden algae bloom and realized they were set to 100% blue and white, but after adjusting the blue/white levels to 100% blue and 40% white the PAR levels these lights give off isn’t bright enough for most corals. Only about 95 at 4 inches below the surface. They aren’t waterproof, which makes no sense, so I would suggest putting some sealant around the edges to close things up and give the light the best chance at surviving salt buildup and the occasional splash. The biggest con is that after six months of operation, something caused the controls for blue/white to switch and now to adjust the blue spectrum I make changes to the white. This isn’t a good sign for quality and durability. If you’re doing a FOWLR aquarium these are definitely the way to go. If you have a reef tank in mind, want to house anemone’s, or have variety in your choices then look elsewhere. Already planning to replace in the near future. All in all these are just “okay” at best. Will they light up an aquarium? For sure. Will they support corals? Yes, but only very low PAR species such as certain encrusting LPS and they’ll have to be in the top half of the aquarium. Be sure to have a plan as to what you’re wanting to house to avoid unnecessary spending or not having the right levels for the right species.

Illuminate Your Aquarium Brilliantly without Breaking the Bank
The NICREW ClassicLED Marine Aquarium Light is praised for its bright lighting, easy setup, and budget-friendly price. It features 445nm and 460nm blue, 10,000K white, and RGB LEDs, creating an ideal color combination for the saltwater environment. The light comes with a dual-channel timer to adjust the lighting spectrum, simulating a gradual sunrise and sunset. The product supports a variety of marine life, including saltwater fish, live rock, soft coral, and LPS corals. It's available in multiple sizes with extendable brackets, making it suitable for both rimless and framed aquariums. A glass or acrylic canopy is highly recommended to extend the life of the unit by preventing moisture from affecting it. Users noted the light's incredible brightness, with one commenting, "Everything in my tank is glowing." Another stated that the setup was straightforward and the light selection perfect. The product's timer function, though yet untested by some customers, is also viewed positively. Some users, however, mentioned that the light needs to be sealed to prevent moisture from getting in, and that if power goes out, the timer needs to be reset. But despite these minor inconveniences, most customers feel the product is worth the price. It's also worth noting that the product has been positively reviewed by customers outside the U.S., particularly in Canada. Canadian users found the product worth the price and praised its brightness and sunrise/sunset features. Overall, the NICREW ClassicLED Marine Aquarium Light is a highly recommended product for those looking for quality aquarium lighting at a reasonable price. UPDATE: lasted over two years before LEDs started to die on the left side. Im ordering another.
