I recently purchased two Poetic cases. One for my S5 active and one for my LG g tab 7. For half the price and all the quality I will continue to go with Poetic cases from now on. I have owned two Otterboxes and they were wonderful cases. Unfortunately the price is still prohibiting to me if I can find a case that is 90 percent as good at half the price. They are ruggedly built and give me a great sense of security over a standard TPU or silicone case. I am a police officer and I use both my phone and tablet in the field for many purposes. This fits my application just right.

This case does a great job of increasing the level of damage protection on an already ruggedized phone. It has a built-in screen protector that is clear, has minimal glare and does not require any special glue-steps and is pre-cut for the front buttons and speaker. The fit and finish of the case is excellent and does not add a great deal of bulk to the phone. I have big fingers and find that accessing the power port is not too difficult as other have indicated. I would rate the product at 5-stars if the following items were improved. The flexible covering was a bit slippery at first; after a few days it was much better; but It does not feel as "grippy" as the Otterbox Commuter-series cases I have used on previous phones. Like the Otterbox Commuter it is a cover-and-frame design that offers a great deal of protection. The three of the four buttons on the side of the phone are marked; but there is no tactile feature (bump, ridges, etc) to help you know which button you are pressing. Also the buttons don't feel like they move when pushing them. You only feel the pressure of your finger pushing on the button not the motion of the button being pressed. After using the case for a couple of weeks I decided to make small incisions (3-4 mm long) along the lines that visually separate the buttons. I removed the case and made the incisions from the inside of the case where the flexible material was thinnest. This minor modification improved the "feel" of the buttons considerably. I do not believe the my modification will harm the phone because the phone's buttons are already water resistant.

Looks nice. Does its job. But the buttons on the side of the phone are extremely hard to push. I have to actually be looking at the button. Turn it to its side and push it in with my thumb... sometimes so hard that I end up pushing the power button when I'm trying to adjust the volume. And I'm a big guy with big hands... just a thought.

This is a BA case! My wife loves it. We have 3 rough and wild boys, she is always letting them play with her phone for games, the phone is being thrown around around and chewed on constantly. I am 100% satisfied with this case, it's not too bulky but is just girthy enough to know you can run it over with a Sherman tank and be perfectly fine.

This didn't fit my s5 active AT ALL. It was practically impossible to get it on, and when it finally did, the side buttons kept getting squeezed, so the phone would constantly have the power off button pop up. I'm sorry, I usually don't give bad reviews, and who knows, I might ve just done something wrong, but right now I wish that I had gone directly into a store where I would've at least had someone there to help if I had any issues.If this fits your s5 active, good for you. But this was not the case for me.

The case it's self was very snug around the phone, however, the side buttons were not raised and it was difficult to press them down to the volume rocker and power button. Also, the plastic screen protector does not fit well and is actually raised off of the phone... I don't reccomend buying this.

Awesome sturdy case. Does not feel cheap amd its Not too bulky. My only complaint is that the volume buttons, active button and power button are really hard to push because the way the case was made with flat buttons so you kinda have to look where the buttons at and use the tip of your finger or nail to push it.

I was looking for a case for my 5s active because although the phone itself is supposed to be rugged, it needed more protection. I scratched the corners of my unprotected phone within a week. Finding a case that included a screen protector was must because I deal with automotive paint at work, and I needed something that protected the whole phone.This case does that job very well, almost too well, opening the charging port is a major pain, it wasn't easy before the case was added due to the water proof features, not it's near impossible to open it easily. Aside from that, it's easy to clean, all buttons work well and when the phone is put down screen up, the camera is well protected. Screen sensitivity is not affected at all. Looks ok, although the samsung logo on the front of the phone is now half covered. I've had the case for a week now and I can't see any scratches or damage on it. So far so good, 4/5.
