Halo 5 inch and 6 inch Integrated LED Recessed Retrofit Downlight Trim, 90 CRI, Title 20 Compliant, 3000K Soft White Recessed Light

I have never changed these out before. It was simple. I love how they have the retro fit adaptors for a standard screw in bulb as well. great product.

Wanted to upgrade several can lights to LED lights, but the thought of changing cans or hiring an electrician to wire in new fixtures was daunting. These things were so easy, I did it myself! So simple, all you have to do is remove the old light bulb and trim piece around the can, and screw in the connector as though it was a light bulb and attach the fixture using the spring clips that fit into the can, and viola, you're done! The only hiccup I encountered was that some of the old trim pieces were wider than the new fixture trim and left gaps in the ceiling paint. Easy solution: buy new "Goof Rings" on Amazon and your trim piece goes from 6 1/2 to 8 1/2".An unexpected benefit to these particular fixtures is that you can select from 4 different colors - from 2700k to 5000k. I didn't realize what a difference there is until trying to match other fixtures in the house.

bought these lights to replace a 2 x 4 flourrescent box light in our kitchen, was always leery about these because I was brought up where recess can lites had a bulky metal housing mounted between jousts in the attic. These lights are amazing, could not have went any easier, and with the, adjustable brightness, you don’t have to worry about buying the right ones. I actually wired a temporary cord to one of the lights and moved it around so my wife and I could see how it illuminated the area before cutting the holes. wish I would’ve done this 10 years ago, we’re finally out of the dark!

Sometimes you can’t get out of your house. We’ve loved having the option of having things delivered to us while living in Alaska. The price was better than Home Depot and the color options fit our other bulbs. It was easy for me a sahm to install herself.

I love the light that this unit produces, it is nice and bright and is evenly distributed throughout the bath leaving no dark corners.The reason I took a star off is that the installation is not as easy as the instructions intimate. On the 5-inch cans you have to not only adjust the spreader bars to the minimum positions but you'll have to bend the springs inward so that you can have them enter the can. It will fit, but it won't look like it.
