I added the DC module to my bbt skr v1.4 turbo. Smoke and my TTF stopped working. Luckily, I’d order a second TFF with another main board and hadn’t sent it back yet. I haven’t tried the WiFi card yet. As I’ve spent a bit of time figuring out if the dc module harmed my main board.I was able to flash the esp01. While I didn’t get a good completion code from the flashing software. The unit worked when installed and while the usage is limited by file 8.3 restriction. It offers a useful alternative to my octoprint set up.

For the price, I'll hold onto this and keep trying. That said, the instructions for setup aren't even good enough to stay they suck. The only instructions they provide are using a Windows app. The URLs in their instructions are images so you cannot copy / paste.If you do embedded software regularly, this is probably nothing for you. As a 20+ yr software developer, this sucks.

Although I have flashed many ESP8266 for some reason after ordering this kit to attain the DCDC module along with a spare Writer, I was unable to flash ESP 01S WiFi.

So lots of other people have trouble with this unit, and I am also one of them, thought I could get it to work and for the price it was worth a try but it just doesn't work, I was able to program it and connect up to it but it will not talk to the printer, all the print settings show nothing. So if you need to see your printer on your network I suggest octoprint.

If only I had better instructions :(

Haven't tried the dcdc module yet, but the wifi module works. Teaching tech on YouTube has a video on how to set it up, where he explains more clearly what the instruction manuals on GitHub say. The only problem I have is that the wifi module seems to be inconsistent, not connecting every time I turn the printer on and I have to turn it on and off a couple of times and I honestly believe octoprint works way better, but raspberry pis are expensive at this time so this works for now. I plan on using the dcdc module for neopixels. I'll update if it doesn't go well.

No matter what you cant get this to work with the firmware.
